THE LOST SOUL
by MsInterpret 2013

Some days my heart feels so elated
Cloud nine and I can't even be faded

But then my bubble pops
Fall fast down to earth and the world stops

Then reality sets in
And I'm back to square one again

I'm angry I'm tired
I feel so uninspired

Black lash from the naysayers
Negative predictions from soothsayers

Disagreeing to disagree
Someone's always giving me the third degree

Taunted by the devil
My spirit is drowning below sea level

My thoughts are suffocating
My heart has stopped palpating

I can't breathe, I can't breathe!
There's too much hate and so much greed

I'm a lost soul
They keep pulling me back into this dark hole

Hand reached towards the sky
I feel the clouds begin to cry

Drenched in heavens tears
Shrouded by my own fears

Wandering through a forest of deception
Climbing a mountain of distorted perception

Lost in the darkness of lies
They pray for my demise
