Kevin James, move over, a new mall cop's in town.
Darien Long, a shopping mall security guard, has received a rush of donations after posting a video that showed him applying a Taser to an abusive woman outside an Atlanta mall.
After telling the woman to leave for disorderly conduct, Long is heard on the video saying, “Back it up,” and shows her the Taser. The woman begins hitting him on the head anyway, and Long uses the Taser on the woman, who drops to the ground near the children she is with, who appear understandably upset.
The shocking video, filmed last May, went viral, and a crowdsourced campaign to raise money to get the mall guard even better equipment has already brought in some $20,000.
Long, who has been the property manager for a year, told local Atlanta news station WSB-TV, “I feel like the Taser and the camera are the two most effective tools that I have. Do what you're supposed to do, or you get what's coming to you.”
The local TV network also reports that the woman shown in the video was charged with criminal trespass, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and simple battery.
Long records every confrontation, and many of the videos he has posted to YouTube have gone viral. One shows him chasing drug dealers out of the mall, pointing the Taser and using anoth

I know where you are going with this and I agree with you. If we go by whats on the video, he did have plenty enough times to walk away. But is he doing his job if he's walking away every time some one get loud and out of hand. We can't have it both ways. We can't want safety on one hand, but wants a security guard hands tied on the other. If he only concerns himself with what goes on inside of the mall, do you think people will feel safe with drug dealers and gang hanging all out in front.?

I don't know, is it okay to laugh. I love the opening statement.

I wonder why one of the women were charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. This reminds of a present thread going on right now and the comments about RESPECTING BLACK WOMAN, and PUTTING THEM BACK ON THEIR THRONES and WORSHIPING BLACK WOMAN. Ha ha. Yep, I do think there needs to be a distinction because some Black women ignore their children and when they are hurting their children, there needs to be some kind of intervention. But the problem is that under this White Supermacist system, it difficult to kow what to do properly.

This woman was bold enough to hit that Black security guard repeatedly in front of her children. That's funny. I wonder if she perform like that to their father. What a message to send to your kids. I have been angry at my husband but, I couldn't imagine raising my hands and hitting my husband! I wonder what her story was though?

What is this world coming to though. I don't know if I agree with what he did though. I mean, if you remove the taser and he was to hit her, isn't that the same thing, and wouldn't that be like, domestic violence, if she was at home and she was to call the police? Wouldn't he had been arrested if she called the police and they came out to her home and she said that 'her man' tazed her or hit her? And if the man told the police that she hit him repeatedly, the police could say that since there is no 'real' bruises, 'I'm arresting you for domestic violence, camera or not, you don't hit a women for no reason.' That's how some people believe. I think it is interesting that people sent him money to support what he did.

I cant't believe she was hitting him like that! What was she thinking!

    edited.

Wait a minute. I watched it again. She was hitting him repeatedly in the head!
he said, 'we need to clean up the neighborhood...'
