Black People : The longer you're out of work, the fatter you get!

The poll didn't "link" any of those conditions to employment. It states quite clearly that these are findings of the health conditions of the employed and unemployed.

Nonetheless, since you are so contemptuously dismissive of the findings, tell us:

1. Why are employed people less obese than the unemployed?
2.Why do employed people have less hypertension than the unemployed?
3.Why is the cholesterol level lower in employed people than in the unemployed?

Sis, that's a waste of time. Although there are many court cases relating to 'fat discrimination.' But seriously, obesity has more to do with exercise and eating habits. In a separate Gallup Poll Obesity is 27% among adult Americans.

Just to waste time, here's an image off of Gallup's website:

Look at Total Unemployed versus Total Employed, notice that the Employed have a higher rate of high blood pressure, and cholesterol, yet both groups show roughly the same numbers?

One can look at the 5,000 "long-term unemployed" and say their rates are highest for obesity and one can look at the part-timers who don't want full-time and say their rates are highest for high blood pressure and high cholesterol, but one would be wasting one's time. There are many factors, like fat discrimination, but in the end, if one wants to end obesity in oneself, one needs to be physically active and have a balanced diet.

FYI the title of the Gallup link is "Obesity Linked to Long-Term Unemployment in U.S.": http://www.gallup.com/poll/171683/obesity-linked-long-term-unemployment.aspx

Emphasis mine.

Are you having a problem comprehending what I wrote, or what the topic is? Fat discrimination!?

For someone who thinks KNOWING your health risks should you become unemployed, thus, taking care of yourself, is a "waste of time" you sure are taking a LOT of pains to talk about just that - to the point of actually googling for links! If you think it's a waste of time to be forewarned (as in "forewarned is forearmed" - in this case about health risks), why are you still here BOLSTERING the poll with googled links, copying and pasting charts, etc? :11200:

There's such a thing as 'size discrimination.' Look it up, if you please. But that's part of the reason why obese people will have long-term unemployment.

But seriously, this is such an unimportant issue that, as your say, you can have the last word.
