Holding and protecting
the light that glows
from within

Mapping your location
with casings
that burn slowly
I come with my
lantern in hand

Your wattage at
the top of the
lighthouse is
extremely bright
and the closer I
get to you
I become
blinded
blowing out
the fire that
directs me
on the path
along the
shore's edge

I search
transluncency
on all four sides
to find the holdings
that keep you grounded
and well lit

Through windowed
walls I stare
as the night air
is let in
and I wait patiently
for a glimpse
of you
behind the
beacon's spot
of projected
light...
