The human incarnation exhibits both good and bad qualities.

Lord Datta is having one face only, because Datta means God given to the souls through the same medium in which the souls also exist. When the souls exist in human bodies, He is coming in the same human body. The angels exist in the energetic bodies. The souls after leaving the human bodies also have the same energetic bodies. Therefore God is given to these souls in the upper worlds through the energetic bodies like Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva etc. There are two forms of Datta. One is having a single face and the other is having three faces. The three faces indicate the important concept. No human form is having three faces. It means only that the human form of God exhibits the three qualities.

Sattvam is good quality. Rajas and Tamas are bad qualities. This means that the human incarnation exhibits both good and bad qualities. It is required for the human incarnation to become close with human beings because every human being is a mixture of the three qualities. Shastras say that a single quality of these three can never exists independently. This means that there is no human being who is absolutely good or absolutely bad. Gita says that the human being becomes good in one moment when Sattvam predominates and the same human being becomes bad in another moment when Rajas and Tamas predominate. Therefore the human form of God should also exhibit these three qualities in order to come close to the human beings to uplift them from the mud pond.

When the person jumps into the mud pond to uplift a person who is drowning in it, the person who jumped is also contaminated by the mud. Not only the same human body, but also the same qualities are necessary to become very close to the souls. Therefore the God has to change the qualities also every time. Every time a specified mood is exhibited by the human being in which the three qualities are mixed in a specified ratio. From birth to death, the human being passes through thirty-three crores of moods. Therefore God is also covered by different proportions of qualities. Each mood is a divine form or deity. Thus for the same God, thirty-three crore divine forms (deities) exist so that every human being can be close to God in every moment.

The same God having three faces is divided into three forms. One form called as Brahma has the predomination of Rajas. Another form called as Vishnu has the predomination of Sattvam. Another form is Shiva predominated with Tamas. In each form, the other two qualities are hidden. Such division is again for the sake of human beings only. Some people have the predomination of one quality but they have the other two qualities also in hidden state. God wants to be a reflection of the human being and thus covers Himself with a similar quality.

When the soul takes birth in this world it is born with “Karmasesha”, which means not the remains of the action. It means the remains of that quality (Samskara or Vasana) in the soul. When a thief was strongly beaten in the police station for his action of theft, he comes out with a subtle seed of that quality. Due to the beating, that quality was very much reduced but did not vanish. This seed is in the form of quality, which is a wrong modification of knowledge and it will never be vanished by the fruit because the fruit is also a form of action. This means action cannot destroy the quality. Only the right knowledge, which is the correct modification of the knowledge, can remove that quality. The punishment, which is also a form of action, cannot destroy the quality.

The agony, which is also another wrong modification of knowledge, produced during the punishment, cannot destroy this quality. This seed is called ‘Karmasesha’ or ‘Sanchita’. Therefore ‘Karmasesha’ or ‘Sanchita’ does not mean the balance of the results. It only means the balance of the quality, which is responsible for the action. When the soul is reborn, it gets a congenial atmosphere according to its seed. The seed starts germinating and this stage of the quality is called ‘Prarabdha’. The seed slowly grows into a tree. The soul becomes very active and does a series of deeds. The fruits of these deeds will be received by the soul in the upper world. Such future fruits are called ‘Aagaami’. But some vigorous deeds give fruits in this world itself. The series of thefts of a thief are recorded in the police station (Aagaami), but sometimes the householder even before going to the police station punishes the thief. Thus the effects in this world are only the fruits of some serious actions of the soul done in this world itself.

The most serious sin done in this world is forgetting the Lord who gave so many facilities in this world without any selfishness. Even though people are praying the Lord; their love is with selfishness only. The love is not true if selfishness exists. There is no light if darkness exists. Therefore the human being is committing this greatest sin and is receiving the result of this sin in this life itself because the sin is so serious! However, the atheists are going to be punished in the upper world only for this greatest sin. The reason is that they are used to examine the faith of the devotees of the Lord. Seeing the happy life of an atheist in this world should not mislead a devotee.

I'm not certain if it's meant that the Son's human incarnation has good and bad, or if our own bodies have this.

In case of the former, it's not so. The Son only has good within His being seeing that He was sent of the One and Only justified to be called Good, our Father.

In case of the latter, it is so that we have the capabilities of good things and bad, but depending on which road one seeks to walk, will measure out whether they belong to good or to evil.

If one shows faith in the Son's sacrifice for our sins, and has holy works to His name, and believes in His resurrection from the dead for our redemption, and has a trust and hope in the Father like toward no other, then they certainly belong to good, and nothing can ever take them away from such.
