Black Spirituality Religion : The Highest Self Mastery.

Greetings Keita,

Many thanks for the response and particularly, the clarification of certain points. Judging from my initial post, it is strikingly obvious that this elucidation was needed.

I realize that this thread has advanced since then but I thought it courteous to respond, with my personal thoughts, having taken some time to reflect on a few very valid points that you raised.

Given your extensive background in this field, it is natural that contention might arise in the views expressed in this forum; this is not a bad thing, and could provide a platform for a healthy debate because after all, no one possesses the monopoly on truth.

Additionally, if you were genuine in your determination to see this done “right” to quote your terminology, I would think you would be proactive and provide this guidance.

You state that the reception for this is lacking, but I beg to differ and would hasten to add that it is a crime to be silent when one should speak. I am certain you will be able comprehend the depth of this statement and hope that you will share your knowledge. An excellent starting point would be a contribution to this thread; what are your thoughts on the Higher Self?

My other point is; surely there must be some methodology of communication that allows for you to express your opposing views or displeasure without needing to resort to negative words? I say this following the vitriol you initially expressed at Metasaience’s post. There are many avenues that serve as effective vehicles to express ones self, that do not spread doubt, fear, and skepticism or anger - themselves tools that achieve that which you are speaking against.

I deeply resent being referred to as being part of a clique, and find the suggestion that there is a herd mentality at play here most insulting. I will use Metasaience as a point of reference. I have always enjoyed reading his contributions; the reasons being many; he seeks to teach consciousness (and indeed the conscious) and not convince intellects; he writes out of compassion, not out of ego. There is sincerity in his words and most importantly, in his intent and it is the reason I ask him questions because I know the value he attaches to his words and feelings to others.

However, after I have logged off and all is said and done, I remember the words of a Gnostic Master “I raise my eyes towards the stars that will come to my liberation; nevertheless, I always guide myself with my Star, which I carry within my Inner Self." There is not a soul here, who does not understand this.

I urge you to see this for the counter-productive exercise that it is, and instead of rejecting or ridiculing us; show a little tolerance and contribute for the sake of the people’s spiritual liberation.

Respectfully submitted,

Bro. Keita- Farrakhan? Please tell me you didn't pull that card in an online forum? A click? I can count many times I've rallied behind you on your threads as well. Were you Farrakhan to me then? You think too highly of me Brotha, but thank you, I appreciate that. You are saying the "crew" here is mass?

So I was right. You didn't read the first post at all. Had you read the thread you would realize that this subject would just as well offend anyone on this forum because it is dealing with taking knowledge for face value which we can all be accused of doing, myself especially.

I've actually fought against the topic for 4 years that I know of suggesting that "compiled knowledge" can in fact lead to higher dimensions of understanding.

This is not a War Warrior, this is a debate, and in a debate if you can't stick to the topic without implying otherwise- you step out. Now you are trying to make comparisons between what threads you write and why? What does that have to do with the topic at hand Brotha? You can sit there explaining why you write certain topics and I write certain topics until your fingers bleed.

I know this fact might surprise you but we are different people. You have the right to call something "hocus pocus" but the Farrakhan followers have no right to defend their Leader? Bro. Keita has all the rights in the world, because obviously the entire world and the internet for that matter is his to command.

Please. Don't insult yourself or me with this foolishness. I see past it.

You real issue is with Bro. Darkside and your emotions are too deeply directed against information you yourself have never comprehended to being with.

And if you are the Warrior you claim to be you would address your issue with him instead of trying to address them through me jumping on every topic or thread you see me post. Be Warrior enough to say "I do not understand this" or "there is something I can learn from this" but never assume based on the words you read in a forum that any person here is as limited as your own knowledge. I wouldn't dare make such an assumption regardless of any level of disagreement.

address the real person your emotions are gunning for. I would love to play "Don King" for that one.

You can't shine a light of investigation with ignorance. You haven't even been able to see what the thread is speaking about, yet you've been implying it about yourself the whole time. What I find even more remarkable is that you have the nerve to learn from what I've already written here and take it to another thread in attempt to complete this online temper tantrum you are having.

There is a message which needs to be delivered to all young Black minds and the message will have many levels to it and many perspectives. Obviously the most important perspective will be your own. It will be your own because you will have taken the time to understand and learn "why things are the way that they are". It will be your own because you will have taken the time to learn or study from the "best of our scholar warriors out there" whereby you will have well rounded information to allow you to form your own opinion.

You don't say?? Really? Hummm. Beautiful! So you did read at least some of the thread. Congratulations! You've figured out that part at least. So how can you debate me otherwise? You've already agreed.

Brother Om has ONE suggestion here and its a fairly simple task using the site search engine. Go to search and type in "Occult". Pull up the various threads and look at the authors and then write down the names of each. If one goes to the last/earliest thread interestingly it comes under Astrology "The Origin of the Virgin Birth Concept". 11-16-2002. Speaking for myself, I first joined this site (as OmowaleX) in the same year 2002. The first thread I authored which comes up in the search engine is "Shetaut Neter" last post 10-14-2006. Some of my reluctance to deal with these issues comes from this post since I posed a question that was not answered at the time. There are I beleive two other brothers currently posting in THIS thread who posted before me, including the author. http://destee.com/forums/showpost.php?p=504675&postcount=6

I am referencing this post as I am of a similar sentiment as brother George. Furthermore, occasionally I am known to delete certain posts I made in the past and only left this one because question remained unanswered in reference to the "African Occult".

I must emphasize here "AFRICAN Occult". Not European. I will give ONE example of another post I authored
which falls under this. "The Science of the Dogon".
http://destee.com/forums/showpost.php?p=514599&postcount=1

One thing that I KNOW (as in Gnosis) is that from the above referenced post till now few if any of the threads authored by myself come under the category of "Occult". Yet various input into threads authored by others has been contributed.

Brother Keita, in some respect, you opened some of this up with your thread on THE SECRET DOCTRINE. In fact, I was surprised when you did so. Now that this has opened up, what do you really expect from the Brothers and Sisters who now are engaged in this discussion?

Another thing that I know is that over the years regardless of who what where and why some have views my opinions/outlook/perspective as "non-sense" many of my posts have resonated with others. That's why when I leave I am drawn back especially when folks hit me up in email, on myspace, or through other personal contact. I KNOW that there are thousands more people who READ and VIEW my posts than respond. I also KNOW that some of these are "white folks" who have interest in topics discussed here but are afraid to join because of how they are usually recieved/rejected. I remember exactly when I first came back here in October 2005. I posted a response to the thread AFRICA IS NOT THE HOME OF THE BLACK RACE. That thread was eventually closed and to date has over 6,000 views. Interstingly, the thread with close to the same amount of views was posted by Sister Destee FREE PERSONAL ASTROLOGY CHART. Another post with over 6,000 views was brother Aquil's PISCES THE FISH. As one continues to read earlier posts from this point several of the people who posted were banned from this site for various reasons. Some of these people were well known for the lack of respect they showed for others. Violation of rule #1. As some of these bannings were enforced others left but interest in these topics remained. It took me being here a year before I posted a thread coming under the "Occult" even though I had a lot of input into previous threads. That thread had zero responses outside of myself. Yet, today sometimes people will ask me questions related to information I posted earlier thinking the "collective" might benefit. So now when folks talk to me about the "collective" as I am now focusing on SELF-ACTUALIZATIOn folks want to take me backwards in time. My second thread was A SIMPLE QUESTION. Similar result. No responses and then when folks did respond it was a series of personal attacks with ONE exception. My initail response to this attack was "Rather than be sidetracked by secondary concerns, I repeat the question?" As these attacks continued brother emanuel stepped in and raised some relevant points. After that the attacks continued brother emanuel stepped in again and then brother Rich. I ignored the attacks and focused on the points raised by brothers emanuel and Rich. The attacks continued then brother I-khan stepped in. I just bumped that thread so folks can see what asking a SIMPLE QUESTION resulted in according to my personal experience in only the second post I made falling into this classification. So, if I am seen as part of a "clique" then this is based on the respect that was given to me when others attacked me when asking A SIMPLE QUESTION, while others saw what was going on and gave no input of their own.

I encourage those here having similar experience to keep searching. Keep voicing YOUR OWN VOICE. Keep emitting YOUR OWN LIGHT. Peace

Biographical info...what does it matter

Confidence is great and by all means you should keep said confidence....don't be mistaken we are not little children who are blindly following a leader because there is NO leader here....and its clear you are speaking of Brother Metascience....we are all adults who are feeding one another....I know a God or Goddess by the words they speak and there are SEVERAL here varying in ages....but that doesnt matter....Bro Meta doesnt need me to speak up for him he is a grown man thats not MY agenda I am truly interested in what you are trying to gain from your posts.....I can use that same metaphor with Min. Farrakhan....of course people come to his defense because he is their leader...and you are like Warith Dean Muhammad coming on the horizon saying "Oh no my way is better"...thats exactly how you appear to me....I am not coming to anyone's defense I want to know what you seek to gain from your disruption because thats exactly what it is.....I am not following anyone here I have my own path I have been studying esoteric/occult sciences for years its not at all new to me...I am nearing forty it would be ridiculous at this age to follow someone's else thoughts and patterns wouldnt you say??

Brother George, this is for you. I was taught by Dr. Ligon who founded the Aquarian Center/Bookstore in Los Angeles which also served as the meeting palce for Ron Karenga's US organization before there was an Afo-American Cultural Center. I also was taught as a member of the Nation of Islam the teachings of Drew Ali, Farad Muhammad, Elijah Muhammad and Malcolm X. As my mother later was involved with the BPP Angela Davis, Huey P. Newton, Bunchy Carter and Geronimo Pratt. As a college student Dr. Clarke. Dr. Diop, Chancellor Wiloliams, Dr. Ben and many more. As a community activist and member of the AAPRP Dr. Kwame Ture. After I left the AAPRP I wwas a member of Sister Souljah's National African Youth Student Alliance (NAYSA). As an anti-apartheid activist I worked closely with Tim Ngubeni a member of the Black Consciousness Movement who was a schoolmate of Steven bantu Biko. I can go on but this is a short list.lol!

Through it all I have learned to "pass the baton" and let younger Brothers and Sisters lead the "race". This is something some of us dont know how and when or why this becomes necessary. When I recently disposed of my library it was not only because I needed the money because I started to do so at a time when finances was not an issue. I did so when encountering hostility on this site when asking A SIMPLE Question then relizing that the Medu neter was about Self-Initiation which by then was no issue for me because the masters had already initiated me, guided me and made me a community leader to guide others and point them into the direction in service to the collective. When I first came back to Cali I made this re-connection with my Comrades from the past who are moving forward. I come here because I learn more form you Brothers and Sisters than others in the world still caught in dogma, doctrine and out-dated ideologies. Keep moving forward and don't look back. Peace

ASE UNC OM!!!!

I've realized now that there are many arguments here that Bro. Keita wishes to express. I can't defend or debate them all because a few of them have nothing to do with me. But I will try my best to address the subject matter at hand. Only because either way it's an important topic obviously.

Let's think about earlier systems based on the cosmos and the changing of seasons, the movement of the Sun- the zodiac. We understood then that the knowledge of our environment was always changing therefore it was even more important to stay grounded in self. That knowledge of the cosmos was not un-important, in fact your physical survival depended on it. However we had a more intimate understanding of ourselves as "spiritual beings having a Human experience" therefore it was always our quest to delve deeper into ourselves.

We also know our different deities are used to remind us about powers within us. Africa is a place of many many different languages, all of which reflects our multi-dimensional reality and cultures.

There is room to argue the opposite. But ultimately higher self mastery is about the refinement and awareness of our own desires. A good salesman or Woman knows you can't force anyone to buy from you. If no one buys you go out of business, or you find out what people are buying and you invest in that. Or you find the people who will buy what you desire to sell.

If a Father thinks he can change, destroy and covert the desire of his Child he is just as illusioned as the Whites who think the changed, destroyed and converted the spirituality for Africans because they were praising their Jesus and getting baptized.

It doesn't change. It becomes "hidden."

But as things hide in time they populate. Just like Roaches behind the wall, hide and populate. The true spirituality of dark beings was never destroyed. It was hidden, it became dormant. So now we are realizing that more and more Blacks are returning to their true spirituality. That ol' hoodoo some of us fear so much. That "demonic" power some of us fear so much. Those old Ancient decoders and star watchers are returning. Those Sun Gods are returning. Those dark magicians are returning. Those Fire Goddesses are returning. Returning because the age for them to return is arriving. Where were they before? Dead? Death is only dormancy.

I believe the knowledge factor verses the higher self mastery factor is only to suggest to us not to become so cluttered with "junk" information, which is information we don't use but information we simply compile to appear knowledgeable, so much to the point where we lose vision of who we really are- or that knowledge itself gets in the way of our "higher learning."

Just recently an Elder Mother was telling me a story about when her Daughter had her first baby. She said her Daughter a first time Mother went out and bought every book she could possibly find on Parenthood. The Elder Mother sat back, didn't want to interfere at first, of course biting her tongue the whole time. Her Daughter read so many books on Parenting to the point that she could host her own Talk Show for Mothers to be. When the baby was born who did she call for help? Of course her own Mother. So her Mother gave her some stern advice.

"Learn to listen to your baby, your baby will tell you want it needs, there is a different type of cry for everything, every baby is different and no book can explain your baby for you." While the Elder Mother agrees that some of what her Daughter learned in her books helped, she said she did much better once she realized crying is a way babies communicate, it doesn't mean they are mad or upset, depressed or dying- and that her baby's character and temperament was much different than anything her books could explain.

What is the Daughter's higher self mastery in this case? Putting her fear aside and listening to the author of those cries more often than the authors of her books.

Listen to suffering instead of those who evaluate suffering. The suffering will tell you want they need, everyone wants something different. Not everyone is interested in "black" liberation- just being liberated for some is good enough.
