    She came crying
She didn't call before she came
    She didn't have to
Wanted me to do her hair
Really just wanted me to listen
    Bandages around her scars
The real pain in her heart
Grieving she was of her loss
I told her of the cost
The price of her life was paid with a portion
Told her we could change the place
Put the scar down the side of her face
    Would she be happy then
    My friend smiles
    I feel her concern remains
    Tell her yesterday my mother
Buried another friend from the same
    She quiet now
It does not heal the pain
    Just makes us both think
Just makes us both thank God
    She a survivor
She say she guess she is
I say I know she will be
    I play with her son
Show her the scars I have
Tell her where I got each one from
    She amazed at my strength
The length of our struggles are many
Any one person can be fragile
When left alone with their own pain
She didn't call before she came
    She didn't have to
I gave her kisses and laughter
Her son gave us both hugs
    She left smiling
    She be back tomorrow
Wants me to do her hair
    Really I'll be listening again
Hoping the scars on the inside
Have healed just a little bit more

    Sad story, beautifully written!

Oh when we touch the wounded heart...the Angels in Heaven sing, it's a beautiful thing.
    Thank you for sharing.
    BLESSINS ON YA HOUSE!
