The son finishes what was started by the father,
his children are exempt from duty,
but your neighbor’s son died across the water.
The charges range from
Corruption, Bigotry and Greed
Lies about weapons of mass destruction
the warnings of Koffi Anan,
of which, he didn’t take heed.
Now ”W” is on trial,
arrogantly proud
and stuck in denial
About the real deal
behind the false claims,
and crooked aims
of the shady intelligence
standing there professing his benevolence
with an address to the state
spewing out right lies
and pledging a war on terror
powered not by righteousness
but motivated hate.
The troops of the union were sent,
tens and tens of thousands of ‘em
I mean “W” was bent!
Tomahawks were fired,
The Ba’ath party’s regime was retired
Saadam’s statue torn down
but still no nukes were found,
now disgruntled and damaged is the morale
of the troops on the ground.
And what is his suggestion
for treating this cancerous sore,
this abomination of humanity
this evil, evil war?
“Sure, I’ll bring the boys home, but only
to replace them with more
….and all this to what avail?
We the people are demanding answers
Mr. President!
Or better yet……
Impeachment, for
Telling us a tale!
