    Hello Family,

I copied the following words from one of Brother Kemetkind's posts.

The friend of my enemy is not my friend.

How do you feel about that?

Is there ever a time that your enemy's friend, can be your friend too?

Would you trust it? Could you?

If you need further clarification ... Sister Queenie has provided it ...

I would say that the sentiment can be very true....or not.....it most certainly depends on who the other party (i.e. the 'friend') is.

As Sun Tzu suggests, keep them both close to you, but trust neither.

Sister Blak ... can you give a hypothetical example of when it would not be true?

When your ultimate agendas (not the temporary one that causes you to join forces) either contradict or are in direct competition with each other.

If that friend is NOT a particular calibre of Black person...otherwise, the quote is very true.

I don't understand what this means

I'm slow, help me understand the quote:

Of course not. If my enemy is befriended by another, then doesn't it stand to reason that they won't be my friend?

    Now, if you said,

then I would say that this might be true. My grandfather used to say, "birds with the same feathers, flock together." There may be times when you have a need to interact and maybe even join ranks, but in the end, people tend to stick with their own kind.

I probably took this statement completely out of context, so forgive me if I lack understanding of what this is about.

    Continue on.... :)
