    the flower and the son

    for he
    who knows who he is
    a divine son radiating
    heat that seems
    to spread further
    than he can imagine
    warmin this versatile flower
    deep rooted in solid ground
    dark and cool,inaccessible
    for she holds
    a wisdom whispered
    by the birds who know
    the secrets of the wind
    almost desiccated
    she grows thick leaves
    during daytime
    in his presence
    realising the essence
    of his power
    and her own.
    adaptation is her
    finest expertise
    choosing now
    to survive
    without his ardour.
    flower and son
    can never become one

I really enjoyed the depth of this piece...

the son existing to ensure the flowers growth and well being
    within it's blooming seasons...
the flower blossoming in the sons presence as a reflection
of the sons power over her...giving him pride & worth...
each co-existing yet incapable of being one...
yet each continues to live for the other...
    wow...

    this was an exceptional piece...
    I truly enjoyed it!

    Thank you Olakuoto ,
    Thank you Rich,
    Thank you Mzblkangel,
    Thank you Angelicsage.
(thank you is all I can say)

Actually ....Angelicsage I really appreciated your interpretation of my simple piece. You described it in a really nice way. Nicer than I ever could!!
And I wanted to reply to it.

To me this piece has two combined layers.
One layer is about the relationship between a man(the son/sun) and a woman(the flower) who have tender affection for each other, but live in two different worlds and because of that and other circumstances it seems to be impossible for them to ever become lovers.
And sometimes loving somebody intensely can run you dry, when that love can (is) not (be) answered. So eventually you turn away. You have to.
The thing is, they can only be lovers on a platonic basis.

Tthe other layer is just the relationship between the sun and a flower. The working of nature.
In some dry areas plants grow thick, 'leatherish' (i don't know the correct english word LOL) leaves to survive.
The blooming season, only there is where our interpretations differ.

    I hope you read this.

    straight from the

Moham….Thank you, I always love the hear the author speak on the premise
that is responsible for the birth of such a piece. And yes…
Everything you said…I also felt, because I can relate…I chose to limit
my response to the somewhat abstract…because poetry is a reflection of
the author’s soul…once again thanks for the elucidation and confirmation.
It was, what I felt, as I read you initially…I did adore this piece…because I’ve been the flower before…I still am within some respect.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you,…also from the heart!
