It was time, better spent, when you were my sky,
and why was some question that never tempted my lips,
we crashed, full speed into this love thing
like kids content with rolling in the grass,
at last, my mind was thinking
that I was drinking from the spring life had promised to me
I could see it in your eyes
the unfeigned surprise, of happy tasted freely
on your tongue

better still, was that togetherness
that better weather-ness
that said blue skies
and
sun’s eternal shine
were what we’d experience

each kiss, summer personified, 100 degrees and please don’t leave just yet,
we couldn’t wait to get into
phase 2 of me and you
but
it never came
the season changed
and still I stuck, rewriting your name
on old letters I never sent

We spent so much time together
contemplating forever that we probably missed out
on a lot of ‘then’

and I’m sorry

i don't know may it's the mode i'm in today but ..... i feel you are finding the words to the song my heart longs ... for ... things i was unable to say before .... God has anoited you with the eye of ones heart that sees tenderness and anointed you with a voice within to express.... beautiful .... you identify with that which is in you so lovingly
