help us God
b/c we have been blinded by the eyedea
as it is being told
that what glitters is gold but i think all that glitters is litter
for example;

no that's o.k... too many scandals to name
too many corporations to blame
too many educated targets to aim
they all live in the utopia of fame and fortune
deprivation
is the portion of their cup in the end they wonder which way is up like richard pryor...

no biggie to me that the economy's under recessive fire
i've always been like "**** who wants to hire"
so "pluck" the eyedea of society and me being the asset
when they haven't given me the job i qualify for to my *** yet
but oh yeah, it's the social order of things...
my character has to have a certain ring
and i have to be able to sing in an accessible pitch like your corporate, domestic *****
"but sir i have the knowledge i'm done with college"
the thought of the dean's list... the reality of mr. clean's list is vexing...

the thought of walking before you crawl is driving you up the wall
they tell you
"it's who you know"
"it's the college which you go"
"did your pastor say so??"
i feel as though even God's patience is getting low with senseless society
senseless piety
all the while momz was like "don't lie to me" i see why she was tired of me often feeling defenseless...

i see their eyedea...
i see the reflection from their cataracts dawning a path i choose not to take
the sunny path of gain which ends in rain forget making that mistake again
only my eyes can see the reality by which i live and will live in
God is judge within

speaking of eyedeas...

ever heard a smile is just a frown turned upside down?
ever seen the tears of a clown?
didn't luther say a house is not a home?
didn't mr. biggs spouse love to roam?
that's what i call reality.

(reality is that we need Jesus and i ain't preachin')

a fool only sees
a wise man sees beyond
fully aware of the the fool mentally leaves undone....

pluck the eyedea
