    THE END OF THE WORLD

    By Andre Austin

The Bible’s description of how the world will end has many parallels to the Egyptian theory of how the world ends too. First I will quote from Plutarch’s Isis and Osiris then go back into the bible and see if it fits.

“ The sistrum (rattle) also makes it clear that all things in existence need to be shaken, or rattled about, and never to cease from motion but, as it were, to be waked up and agitated when they grow drowsy and torpid. They say they avert and repel typhoon/Satan by means of the sistrums, indicating thereby that when destruction constricts and check nature generation releases and arouses it by means of motion.

The upper part of the sistrum is circular and its circumference contains the four things that are shaken; for that part of the world which undergoes reprodution and destruction is contained underneath the orb of the moon, and all things in it are subjected to motion and to change through four elements: fire, earth, water and air. At the top of the circumference of the sistrum they construct the figure of a cat with a human face, and at the bottom, below the things that are shaken, the face of Isis on one side, and on the other the face of nephthys. By these faces they symbolize birth and death, for these are the changes and movements of the elements; and by the cat they symbolize the moon because of the varied coloring, nocturnal activity and fecundity of the animal. For the cat is said to bring forth…all 28, the number also of the moon’s illumination. Perhaps, however, this may seem mythical. But the pupils in the eye of the cat appear to grow large and round at the time of the full moon, and to become thin and narrow at the time of the wanings of that heavenly body. By the human features of the cat is indicated the intelligence and the reason that guides the changes of the moon”.

To put the matter briefly, it is not right to believe that water or the sun or the earth or sky is Osiris or Isis” page 149-151

Jesus giving a speech as he sat upon the Mount of Olives was asked what signs shall be for the end of times. I will excerpt this speech where the portions are relevant to Plutarch lessons he wrote down from Egyptian priest.

For such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet…

For in those days shall be affliction such as was not from the beginning of the creation which created unto this time, neither shall be.

But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light.

And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken

And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven” Mark chapter 13

John was slick in attempting to make it appear that the speech in Chapter 13 was at a different location in chapter 14. Or he may have been just copying down an earlier version

Jesus continues to speak about the end of times at Gethsemane. And what a coincidence he “Findeth them sleeping”(14:37)

“And when he returned, he found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy” Mark 14:40. This is too much of a coincidence with Plutarch giving the allegory of the cat nocturnal activity (Jesus was talking at night Mark 14:27)and having large eyes (Mark 14:40). And we can’t forget the parallel statements about the Sun and moon. Jesus also talked about Judas plotting to kill him. This would relate to the writings of Plutarch talking about death and rebirth. Too much of a coincidence. This is yet another parable of Jesus that is connected to the Egyptian Gospels.

    Here's Part 2

The solar zodiac can be traced back to ancient Egypt ,where it was known at a remote period of time; but the solar zodiac was preceded by a lunar zodiac, which was divided into 27 or 28 lunar manisions instead of twelve signs…the moon moves eastward among the stars at such a rate that it accomplishes a complete circuit of the sky in about 28 days. That’s what Plutarch was talking about when he said the Cat activity went through 28.

Osiris also shone as a moon-god. He is said to have reigned in Egypt twenty-eight years. This is no doubt an allusion to the twenty-eight days of the lunar month. The rending of the body of Osiris into 14 parts by Set/Satan and his evil companions (scorpion/Judas) refers to the wanning of the moon. Osiris was sometimes associated with the moon as a mummy wearing on his head a cresent moon in place of the usual crown. Satan was hunting in the night with the help of the light of the full moon and discover Osiris body in a chest and cut it up in 14 parts so the story goes.

The four winds Jesus was talking about might be referring to the “Four gods holding up the heavens were recognized in Egyptian mythology as the four children of the sun-god Horus. These four individuals were depicted as standing at the cardinal points of the celestial sphere and holding up the heavens.

For additional evidence the Scorpion was Judas. When the sun enters Scorpion, the scorpion went after a person with golden horns and brazen feet. A coincidence that Revelations said that Jesus had feet like bronze with a golden girdle Rev 1:13;15. But so did Osiris. And when the sun/Jesus/Oiris entered the zodiacal sign of the scorpion it was in the 28th year of osiris reign. Oiris only ruled for 28 years.

Mark chapters 13 and 14 fits perfectly with the Egyptian Zodiacs.

    1. Jesus talks about the end of the world and his life.
    2. The Sun and Moon
    3. Stars falling/Allusion to Zodiac stars ?
    4. Judas/Scorpion killing him. “Its one of the twelve” Mark 14:20 meaning one of the twelve zodiacs. “Judas, one of the twelve” 14:43
    5. The four winds. The temple of denderah show four gods supporting the heavens at four quarter points.
    6. Large eyes
    7. Activity/ nocturnal durning the night of 28 days refers to the Zodiac of the sun. That statement by Plutarch and the cat eyes helped me tie in Marks statements as allusions to the Egyptian religion. Mark mentioned it twice 14:27 and 14:30

“Since the lore of astronomy and the calendar were the basis of much of the mythology, ritual and religion of the ancient Egyptians, which in turn has profoundly affected all the great religious systems of later days.”

    Part 3

I don’t mean to go off on tangents but its very important that I do. By accident I discovered that mark said Jesus talks of Stars falling and went on to connect this end of the world talk with a parable of a fig tree. John in the book of Revelations copied mark when he said: “The stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind …and people hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains. And said to the mountains and rocks, fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the lamb” Revelations 6:13-16. In chapter 7 we are told 144,000 and a great number of nations and tongues coming out with palms in hand of tribulation . And also remember that waterways and trees are persevered until the 144 is sealed.

Chapter eight talks about a star called wormwood associated with destruction. In Egyptian Heaven and hell a worm is kept away from the boat of RA.

Now this is going to get deep so bear with me. Why is it so in primarily chapter 38 book of Job he relates his suffering to stars and people hiding in mountains and going after lions.he also talks about the water courses and states that he has hope in a tree. It is my aim to connect the book of Job to the Egyptians further and further adding weight to the bible’s infuence if not dependence on Egypt.

Then the lord anwered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge
When the morning stars sang together
When I made the cloud the garment

And from the wicked their light is withholden, and high arms shall be broken

Out of whose womb came the ice? And the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
The waters are hid as with stone, and the face of the deep is frozen

Cast thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? [The soul of Horus was said to be Orion]

Canst thou bring forth mazzaroth in his season or canst guide Arcturus with his sons. Knowest thou the ordinance of heaven canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth.
Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may over thee.
Canst thou send lightnings , that they may go and say unto thee here we are.
Who hath put wisdom (thoth) in the inward parts or who hath given understanding to the heart
Who can number the clouds in wisdom or who can stay the bottles of heaven
When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion or fill the appetite of the young lions
Who provideth for the ravin his food when his young ones cry unto god, they wander for lack of meat.

In ancient mythology Zeus/Amen made love to one of the Pleiades, Maia who gave birth to Hermes/Thoth. Thoth role in cosmogony was the hearth of Ptah, Ptah’s tongue being Horus. Thoth also appears in the Bible. In the book of Job 38:36” See Black Athena by Martin Bernal p141-143.

The fig story of being untimely (Out of season?) Rev:6:13 and many other aspects is tied into ceremonies of Hermes/thoth. If it wasn’t for Plutarch I probably would have been incapable of breaking this case.Plutarch Isis and Osiris book states:

“ The fact that everything is to be referred to reason we may gather from the Egyptians themselves; for on the nineteenth day of the first month, when they are holding festival in honour of Hermes/Thoth, they eat honey and a fig; and as they eat they say “A sweet thing is truth”. [I mentioned in my other essays hearths became truth in heaven. Why did Jesus relate his demise to a fig tree?] the amulet of Isis, which they traditional assert that she hung about her neck, is interpret ‘a truce voice. And harpocrates is not to be regarded as an imperfect and in fact god, nor some deity or other that protects legumes, but as the representative and corrector of unseasoned, imperfect, and inarticulate reasoning about the gods among mankind…the tongue is luck, the tongue is god. Of the plants in Egypt they say that the Persea is especially consecrated to the goddess because its fruit resembles a heart and its leaf a tongue. [I believe John was talking about this when he was talking about holding “palms in their hands”Rev 7:9] the fact that nothing of man’s usual possessions is more divine than reasoning. [The Christian will say God is love. No, no God’s hearth is truth. God doesn’t love everybody but he tells everybody the truth.
“how, then, are we to deal with their gloomy, solemn, and mournful sacrifices, if it be not proper either to omit the customary ceremonials …among the Greeks also many things are done which are similar to the Egyptian ceremonies in the shrines of Isis, and they do them at about the same time. (there was a tradition that Thoth was father to Isis) …and name that festival the festival of Sorrow (Job’s Sorrow too)…this month in the season of the Pleiades is the month of seeding which the Egyptians call Athyr ( Bible’s Arcturus Job 38:32) …that the god is alsleep, sing lullabies for him in the winter and summer chants arouse him, after the manner of Bacchic worshipers. Winter he is imprisoned but the spring sets himself free again.

the season of the year also gives us a suspicion that this gloominess is brought about because of the disappearence from our sight of the crops and fruits that people in days of old did not regard as gods, but as necessary and important contributions of the gods toward the avoidance of a savage and bestial life. (Jesus did say he was a savior and true vine). At the time of year when they saw some of the fruits vanishing and disappearing completely from trees, while they themselves were sowing others in a mean and proverty-stricken fashion still, scraping…the men of later times accepted this blindly, and in their ignorance referred to the gods the behavior of the crops and the presence and disapperance of necessities, not only calling them the births and deaths of the gods, but even believing that they are so.” Now if Plutarch would of read Jesus statement connecting his death with untimely figs he would of knew that he and Job were copying the Egyptians.

Now I can’t forget Job talk about the lions. This probably refers to the first labor of Hercules having to slay the lion. Hercules had 12 labors referring to the 12 zodiac signs. Revelations refers to slaying men in their dens and does refer to the beast as having some lion charactertics.

    Part 4

    HOMER’s Odyssey

Plutarch reported to us that Homer went to Egypt . Homer has Odysseus spending 7 years in Egypt 14:285, but that’s another story. I find it strange that Homer and Jesus used the same type of pharses and lanquage.

“Glorious Odysseus, happy with the wind, spread sails
and taking his seat artfully with the steering oar he held her
on her course, nor did sleep ever descend on his eyelids
as he kept his eye on Pleiades and late-setting bootes
and the bear, to whom men give also the name of the wagon
who turns about in a fixed place and looks at Orion…
    seventeen days he sailed…

coming back from Ethiopia the strong earthshaker…

he spoke, and pulled the clouds together

night sprang from heaven east wind and south wind clashed together, and the bitter blown west wind and the north wind [All equal the four winds] borr- Homer Odyssey 5:265-295

Why is it so that the same type of pharses and words appear in common with Plutarch, Jesus, Homer, Job and in Revealations? There must be one common orgin and that must be Egypt the home where the Zodiac was created. According to Plutarch Satan was the bear.

    PROMETHEUS BOUND

“Make chaos and confusion of the world
not thus will he constrain my tongue to tell
by whose hand he from tyranny shall fall…

Edged curl of his lightning, and shatter the sky
    With his thundering frenzy of furious winds;
Let the earth be uptorn from her roots by the storm
Of his anger, and ocean with turbulent tides
Pile up, till engulfed are the paths of the stars
    ….

O mark, no longer in word but in deed,
    Earth has been shaken:
The reverberant thunder is heard from the deep,
And the forked flame of lightning, the coiled
Dust flieth upward, the four winds are at play
    Frolicking widly in ruin riot
And the sky and sea in confusion are one
Such is the storm Zeus gathers against me
Ever nearer approaching with terrible tread
O majestical mother, o heavenly sky,
In whose region revolveth the light of the world,
Thou seest the wrongs that I suffer

A 1908 book by E. Walter Maunder will help to back up my claims I founded independenly. In his book “Astronomy in the bible” Maunder states: There is a word used in scripture to denote a reptilian monster, which appears in one instance at least to refer to this dragon of eclipse, and so to be used in an astronomical sense… Where job curses the day of his birth, he desires that it may behold the eyelids of the morning. And in the grand description of leviathan, the crocodile in chapter xli we have-

    “His neesing flash forth light,
And his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning

Canon driver considers this as an allusion ,probably to the reddish eyes of the crocodile, which are said to appear gleaming through the water before the head comes to the surface. This is because of the position of the eyes on the animals head, not because they have any peculiar brilliancy. [Was this crocodile Jesus version of the “Evil eye”?]

It is an idea exclusively Egyptian, and is another link in the chain of evidence which connects the author of the poem with Egypt…when the Egyptians represent the sunrise, they paint the eye of the crocodile, because it is first seen as that animal emerges from the water.

Now back to Pleiades “The Pleiades were often associated with the late autumn, as Aratus writes-

Men mark them rising with Sol’s setting light,
Frorerunners of the winter’s gloomy night

This is what is technically known as the acronical rising of the Pleiades, their rising at sunset; in contrast to their heliacal rising their rising just before daybreak, which ushered in spring time. This acronical rising has led to the association of the group with the rainy season, and with floods. Pleiades are connected with the flood especially in the deluge myth of chaldea.

Many ancient nations have set apart days in the late autumn in honour of the dead, no doubt because the year was-then considered as dead. This season being marked by acronical rising of the Pleiades.

What is the meaning of the inquiry addressed to Job

Cants thou bind the sweet influence of Pleiades?

It was asking for the return of spring
“They heralded, therefore, the revival of nature from her winter sleep, the time of which the kingly poet sang so alluringly-

For, lo, the winter is past
The rain is over and gone
The flowers appear on the earth
The time of the singing of birds is come
And the voice of the turtle is heard in our land
The fig-tree ripeneth her green figs
And the vines are in blossom
    They give forth their fragrance

“Their sweet influence were those that had rolled away the gravestone of snow and ice which had lain upon the winter tomb of nature”

Scripture clearly states that it,s a "world" without end.

So nice to see we agree on something. :) A world without end ! Yes, you are right. This means we have a contradiction going on in religions that preach the end of the world...when clearly this is not confirmed by scripture. Thank you....while you're sipping my tea. (smiles)
