What is the 'amerikan dream?'
To come to this country, get filthy
rich from the opportunity it offers,
raise a productive family then retire
like a King to a beautiful piece of land
one could call one's own? Hmm.
Well since the u.s. judicial system has
made sure that now even THAT is impossible,
and it doesnt make any difference HOW much
money you make, you'll never own a piece
of amerika, are we talking about a pipe dream?
As recently as 2005, the u.s. supreme court
has ruled in favor of the state of connecticut
in the case of eminent domain over a single
'land-owner,' setting precedence towards the
remaining 49 states to follow. And guess what,
in case after case since, including a 90 year-old
Black, world war 2 veteran in New Jersey, they have,
and are in the process of taking these peoples land.
So what'd we do, fight'm in court with all the
money we got?
Man, I tell you. OUR People need to wake up.
Of course it's at an END. Cause it never got started.
there is a class war going on and the upper class is winning.
You are now seeing salary deflation. In most of the country it's been in the double digit range. The middle class as we have grown up to know it will soon disappear. The jobs for regular guys that had to support their families, steel mills, construction, skilled trades, auto workers, etc, are being shipped over seas faster than you can say, that giant sucking sound.
What you have now being created is McJobs. You cant buy a house or raise kids with one of those jobs. I may be one of the last people you know that will actually get close to a pension.
the thing is, nobody's mad at it. people's standard of living is disappearing in front of their eyes and they do nothing.
we get all upset about gay marriage or something that don't matter when we are all being screwed by the corporations.
the divide and conquer seems to work really well.
I dont know about that. I think the November elections will bring about a big change
can you be sure?
i'm afraid the republicans will pull some hot button issue out and win again.
Too many white folx worried about their jobs and the high price of gas. Not too much will happent to change that. That's why so many elephant people are avoiding bushboy lately
Not living in the US, but I can agree with ROARIN on the fact that the american dream was never ours to dream.
Also, as James From Philly has noted, there is class warfare in the United Snakes - and it's more serious than I think many are willing to admit. Our people should really try to overcome it. We're stabbing at eachother (the so-called minority groups), and it's only good for the white man.
This is common sense in it's simplist form I'VE heard
in a LONG time!
And this is exactly what OUR People DON'T want to
(Now I'M finna really shake YOU up!)
WE act like we don't know---
IT'S THE WHITE MANS ECONOMY!
Black Wall St.? THEY BLEW IT UP!
If I'M not mistaken...OUR fight starts
somewhere in there.
(Beginning eighty years ago!)
Anyone care to address the real problem?
Malcolm, Marcus, they ALL said---
"WE need OUR OWN NATION and ECONOMY!"
Where are OUR courageous?
Some of US have even been borrowing
What a mess WE'VE become!
