I grieve with the rest of America on the anniversary of the national tragedy
    Of the emergency
But I will save some tears for my other fallen countrymen
Who live and die daily in the wars of poverty
They die from the blows of apathy
They die from the woes of bigotry and better you then me
    They die daily
    They die invisibly
    They DIE slowly
    But they die
And I cry for them because they are just as innocent
    And still they die
