    Last night....
    I dreamt a....
    nightmarish vision
    it suddenly began
    a haunting silence
    the night was pitch black
    the moon was hidden
    the stars exploded and fell
    then the wind screeched
    as if warning....of
    the pandemonium
    the chaos to come
    the house shifted
as the skies began to rumble
    the dark reached in
    with creeping fingers
    trying to pull me asunder
    the clouds transformed
    into weapons of lightning
    striking the ground
    with furious force
    terror and mayhem
    I heard deafening screams
    the wind....hungered
as it picked up and gorged
like a demon thirsting for blood
it ravaged all in its path
the earth violently twist & turned
the house blew from its foundation
as I huddled in what once
    was the basement.....
    fate couldn't prepare me
    for what my eyes witness
    people running....
    cars crashing.....
    trucks colliding....
    fire and brimstone
    churned in the air
    lifeless bodies in the wind
    debris littering the streets
    lightening scrolling the skies
    striking down randomly
    from clouds angry and alive
    a different storm...
    visits this time
    the blackest night....
    I had ever seen
    I gazed at the night
    as it started to manifest
    into a menacing force
    with a mission to destroy
    then there was a silence
    as I stood shaken...
in the eye of the storm
    wondering....
    is this the beginning...
    of the apocalypse?

    "No! this is not here"
    "No! this is not now"

    my eyes opened....

    As I awakened from this
    dream....

    I thought~

    it could be my imagination....

    it could be just.....a dream

    couldn't it........????????????

Was this a real dream? You have jarred something inside... your message, your alert, your warning. I felt this thoroughly.

    epiphany...this is great...i hope you don't mind...

BUT...i've gotta get into this one.:)

    What to do when Ghosts come Knocking. {repost}

    This happened…
    oh, I don’t know
    Twenty…
    Thirty some odd years ago
    I know
    You’re thinking
    “how does he know?”
    but I was right there
    I’ve told you before
    The doors were creaking…
    The floors gave so…
    When this nightmare began
It was time to let go

As darkness set in…the sounds picked up.
Moans and groans came out of the ducts.
These sounds could be heard…all over the house.
Permeating the darkness when the lights would go out.

I saw a faint movement, out the corner of my eye.
When I went over, there was no one in sight.
I searched the house carefully…didn’t miss one square inch.
Didn’t know what to do, if caught in a pinch.

Meanwhile, I thought, “why not get some sleep?”
but I tossed and turned, feeling groggy and weak.
Got up for some tea, in the middle of the night.
Made my way in the dark, ‘til I received a great fright.
Bumped into someone, cried out, “who’s there?”
flipped the light switch but that one was no where.

The China did rattle…the silverware too.
The pots and pans…and the kitchen sink, too.
I backed to the door…didn’t know what to do.
Sneaked back to my bedroom…got my nine, and bat too.

Just before dawn, came a knock on my door.
Cried out from my bed, “you’d better answer…who is it, yo’?”
you called out your name, saying, “honey, it’s just me.
Come on…let me in, I have something you should see.”

    I opened the door, slowly…you weren’t there.
I looked around, carefully…but you were nowhere
I slammed the door, shut…sweating profusely
Heart beating wildly…at what I did see
My home was destabilizing…in front of my eyes
My brain screamed, “Act fool…you better recognize”
I looked at my bedroom…then looked at the door
Didn’t wanna know what was next…didn’t need to see more

I thought to myself…oh, what could it be
    Destabilizing effects doesn’t happen naturally
The bumping, the sounds, so much have changed
Could this truly be real…or, am I going insane
To much to fathom…I’ve gotta get away
Can’t allow this nightmare to continue today

I turned and ran from my home that morn
Didn’t know what to do…had no place to run
I had to get away…let that haunted house be
Let the spirits settle down…’til they set my home free

    GOTTA GO…GOTTA GO.

Intense and terrifying. If you actually did dreams such a thing, I can imagine sleep being lost for the remainder of the night.

    Good poem!
