The Dream of my Dreams

I kissed goodbye the dream of my dreams
Shallow
…mean(ingless) things
Where scenes of Love-broken hearts confess
Their fame
Of losing happiness

I’ve seen the light
…Enjoyed the sight of evening’s sunset across ocean’s might
Yet, I squandered the night
Nurtured my pain
Paid homage to break-ups’ most tragic reign

I scream
Indifference…At their Whore-intensive foray
Of wholly-intrusive wordplay
But didn’t know what to say

It was a dream

A fantasy of beautiful things
Where romance blossoms
And happiness screams
Its depths
To
Thee
And, yet
Tomorrow’s sunrise
Brings with it fresh eyes
(Not necessarily of the wise)

~ I kissed my dreams goodbye

I kissed shadowy dreams
(Of sordid…and morbid things)
As I slid in between the whispering hollows
A “sorrow-filled” tomorrow devoid of dreams

I came…

Not from penile stimulation
Or sexual motivations
But from the mental manipulations of love

I kissed goodbye the dream of my dreams
All I’ve ever dreamt of
