The following website gives some insight into the religion of the Dogon and how their society is structured accordingly.

Nothing about this site openly suggests that the DOGON believe in UFOlogy as a main ideology within their "religion".

In fact the main theme of this seems to constantly pop up, surrounding a certain "French anthropologist". It seems that when he is subtracted from the equation, DOGONIC mythology is simply another ATR, with an esoteric, anthropomorphic philosophy.

i mentioned this in the "egypt" thread, but in the dogon mythology the first 5 children of amma are the jackal, and two male/female nummo twins.

in kemet there is ausar/auset set/nebthet and heru the elder. so in both we have 2 male/female pairs, and 5 children in total with three males and two females.

set, like the dogon jackal is born awkardly and tears a whole on the side of the uterus to make his exit.

there is a problem in that set is typically paired with nebthet while the jackal is alone, like heru the elder.

part of the reason the jackal is the source of disorder is that he is alone, without his twin...

why is it that it the roles are seemingly transposed in kemet and with the dogon in that set has a wife in kemet, and heru the elder is seemingly alone? it seems like the source of trouble should be alone...

these ufologists get in the way of understanding how the dogon theology developed and what the real parallels are.

All of this (your comparative analysis) is absolutely brilliant.

these ufologists get in the way of understanding how the dogon theology developed and what the real parallels are.

I've spoken about the motive behind this dilemma, in one of the other corresponding threads.

Once all the UFO hog-wash is dispensed, one can indeed gain a greater appreciation for ATR's as a whole.
