This site is our meeting place. All the talk of solidarity and growth appears to loose site and disregard or realize.
This is a Black owned Business that for years can support our views and aspirations.
This is one reason out of many why supporting this site and helping it stay current and helping it build into the future is so important.
As technology changes and we come closer to a dream. The Dream of Freedom and participation in all that we helped build and is good. Support now will allow this to happen.
Oh if you think this is a plug as much as some may think. I do know technology will help us in the future and this site is critical.
To and in that communication of what is and can be done. As well as what is happening.
You want to know what is the KEY!
The KEY is here. Under the fingers and eyes of those visiting as guest and members.
Some how and in due time this site will launch the application or the information.
That will catapult the Diaspora into the life we deserve and desire.
Bless you and Bless this site. I know it's worth.
Just finished listening to the video, thanks for posting this. Tracy interjected the quote of Ancestor Harriet during the show. I noticed that Mr. Nero didn't really comment, but agreed that some of us are programmed in that manner.
Although I fully understand the quote, only a select few had the privilege of being close to the "under ground railroad." This salient point often goes unaddressed, before we are so quick to pick on those slaves that were frightened out of their wits, through no fault of their own.
We now take the quote and use it to so-call, beat up on, the status-quo. But we never mentioned the vast number that knew they were slaves but couldn't get to the escape hatch.
Also, Tracy talked about white folk, and that some of us see them as good; not realizing that white folk assisted Ancestor Harriet. There were hide-away houses opened by some white folk.
Now before its said that Clyde loves white folk, not true, they are the enemy, but as Malcolm X answered the question:
When a reporter asked whether white people could join the OAAU, Malcolm X said, "Definitely not." Then he added, "If John Brown were still alive, we might accept him."
Which is to say, there are some John Brown's around, if you get my drift?
Well put HODEE, well put indeed ...
yup, it is definitely worth it. and i, too, am thankful, but, more importantly, Blessed by the privilege of having found it. thank you, destee. (what happened to the mail in donation form? held a money order all month last month but finally cashed it. i'll do electronic money-stuff when that mess is a lot safer - all it takes is once and i ain't gonna risk that once! but i would like to mail in my subscription. [or did my attempt via the contact page not get to you?])
this medium, as old soul has demonstrated for years (decade?), and some of the classes that have been held here, as has been demonstrated by some of the movements around the globe is so admirably suited to getting things done on a grass roots level.
(an aside: i first thought that somebody had dug out this post from times past and bumped it, but it's a new post? i agree with the sentiment (more if they acknowledged the collective need for help and recognize that sometimes the medicine hurts as bad, or worse, for a time, than the disease) but feel a need to point out that, sure, there has been some "help" from a few, but their "help" might would be better spent "convincing" their compatriots to change their ways. can, sort of, "appreciate" that, in your way, you "love me/us" but show that love by getting this mess up off me rather than being with me as i endure it!!)
This is understood Clyde. I didn't post this to to beat up on anyone. Call out anything.
In the broadcast they mention those that are among us that are there to disrupt or report what they heard to the enemy.
This broadcast even goes to say and I am paraphrasing... there is no need to go name calling. Just know in order to make things better know where you are and where you want to go and have some serious backbone about your plan.
What I heard in the broadcast was not to beat up us as a race.
It was to say and it was said a lot of people do not know or understand today , that we are behind enemy [email protected]:40sec
and one should govern themselves accordingly. HODEE loves people.. if your cool... your cool with me. I don't care or play your color, because I don't allow my color to be played against me.
My assessment doesn't single out anyone, least of all you bro. HODEE, it speaks typically to the manner in which some of us tend to discuss when broaching this subject.
The most important portion I remember, would be the "each one teach one" concept called for my Mr. Nero, as we approach black unity.
