I'm wondering if anyone else took notice to the things we say to our own...about our own in public forums, later on becomes degrading things use by non-black people to discourage Black Pride and self-pride amongst Black people? Its just the regurgitation of black people thoughts when discussing issues in the black communities. This is not to say non-black people don't have a negative thought of their own or all non-black people do this, but the plethora of information pertaining to us is looked at...studied...copied...then spat back at us without the understanding, compassion, and urgency to catapult change in our communities. Instead it's used to dehumanize, point a finger at, and rationalized the unjust treatment that has been been carried out since our enslaved ancestors first step foot on these here lands. Social media and public forums are a catch 22 for discussing issues in our communities. I say this because , while we need to address these things on a broader scale, information often falls in the wrong hands and is misused to be played against us. We really need to be conscious of the way we speak with and about or communities and each other. Stop using negative connotations to cast mental visuals of the areas we need to change. I know we can speak about our concerns without tearing each other down in the process. Has anyone else notice how our very own demeaning words are then turnt around and used against us as a whole?
