How many of you would agree with this assessment?
If someone thinks their life circumstances are under the control of "outside forces", they have a low level of self control. If, on the other hand, a person believes things happen based primarily on their own behavior and resources, or "inside forces" they have a high level of self control.

Those who recognize the power of the "inside force" are believed to be more psychologically adjusted, have higher self esteem and influence over others, and accomplish more because they believe they have more control over their lives than those who believe their lives are under the control of "outside forces".
Taken from the book (Brainwashed) by Tom Burrell and based on Dr. Julian Rotter's 1966 internal-external "locus of control" studies....

i'm all for removal of brainwashing.
however denial of the control that the system of white supremacy has is not rational.

we have to move against that system.

But doesn't the amount of control depend on what you know about what is really happening?

    Example:
I used to work for IBM. They introduced a machine called a "Datamaster 23" they did not provide benchmark data so I wrote my own. The 23 was slower than the machine it replaced, the 5100. The marketing people did not even know. I told one of them.

So are people who buy things they do not understand in control, or is control just a delusion of the ignorant?

    um

You say a system of white supremacy which to me suggests ones has superiority over another as opposed to a system of racism where one believes to be superior ( not is superior ) to another and attempts to oppress, control and impede the progress of another...Yes we have to move against the system but doesn't that begin with the mindset and the beliefs in ones abilities to challenge and conquer that system or to bow to that system?

That's why they usually provide instructions so that you can control it.....But you and I are are talking two separate things here..... I'm talking about control of self and recognizing the power one has inside as opposed to not recognizing it, not something you buy that someone failed to provide the data for...
Those who recognize the power of the "inside force" are believed to be more psychologically adjusted, have higher self esteem and influence over others, and accomplish more because they believe they have more control over their lives than those who believe their lives are under the control of "outside forces".
Those who recognize their internal power generally turn out to be leaders or independent where those who don't tend to be easily controlled and led...
I'll take this one step further for you my brother:If not for the belief in the power and ability inside of you, you wouldn't be where you are today....

A few weeks ago I was shopping in a grocery store. A Black man was talking on his smartphone so loud I could hear him two aisles away. He was talking about what cars his girl friend liked "Mercedes" and what he liked, "Cadillac".

Tomorrow will be the 47th anniversary of the Moon landing. How much has technology advanced since then? What did cars do 47 years ago? But 30 years before the Moon landing didn't the Honkies design fighter planes for World War II to dog fight at 400 mph? So doesn't the automobile industry have to be complete ******** today?

But we still get TV commercials for cars to brainwash us. It is integral to the system. According to Celebrity Net Worth Jesse Jackson is worth $10 million. I have never heard him suggest that accounting be mandatory for Black kids.

Too many in the community are just willing to give themselves over to the idea of "outside forces" controlling them and holding them back. I fully believe in taking ones own behavior and resources into consideration when trying to accomplish more for ones family and future generations.
