    oh the winter is over
and the spring day is a little cool
but these children are inside and they are actin' the fool
    they are thumping and jumping
    and making loud noises
fighting with each other heads bumpin
screaming and laughing cause they are bored
and then they come bustin' through bedroom my door
what are we gonna do today
    what are we gonna do
can i play cartoon network on your computer too?
what are we gonna do today
    what are we gonna eat
i had my sneakers on, but now they're on my brothers big feet
oh my sneakers are gonna be all stretched
and my socks are gonna smell all old
cause he got on my sneakers and now he has my gameboy remote control
what are we gonna do today
mommy what are we gonna dooooo
i wish i could hide under my pillow
    i slowly count to two
i take a deep breath and i try not to get stressed
i haven't even had my coffee yet
but i look out the window and the air is nice and clear
i say put on your jackets and get the hell outside my dears
i say ride your bikes, get your skateboards out
get out your roller blades, put on your little shades
just get the hell outside and give me a moments peace
and then i hear peals of laughter with the puerto rican kids up the street
my children are outside, but they are also near
and i just say THANK YOU LORD that spring time is here
(can a sista get a MINUTE?)

    Nope. :D

I remembered when I was a kid during the summer and my Mama was trying to get rid of me. That's how I learned to swim cuz I was gettin' on her nerves. She looked at me and said..."You're gonna learn how to swim this summer...." After that, it was summer camp...which was at our local park down the street. She had my entire summer planned out. I had a ball. :D

  GOD BLESS THE DEAD:heart:

    :thanks: for sharing
