Lack of knowledge, religious fundamentalism, religious fundamentalists being the only source of informations in a community- will almost always result in innocent people being killed or harmed. People who are supposed witches, women who are supposed not virgins because they were seen with a man, or because they couldn't "prove" virginity, people with different religious beliefs, people who change their religion, people who marry outside their religion, and many, many other cases.
So on the other thread we have witch doctors killing albino children, because
their bodies have magical elements of some kind.
Here we have christians killing melanin-rich children, because they don't
get down with what evangelics preach.
Insanity knows no bounds.
"Give the pastor money and he can deliver the children".
At some point, we have to ask the question: what makes them so easily mislead? How can they be this spiritually disconnected as to believe anything any hustler tells them regarding spirituality?..
And how long has this stuff been going on?
When did all this start? Where did they get these ideas?
Perhaps the following could shed some light on this:
I spoke with a couple of nigerian women about a month ago wanting
to know if they were familiar with the yoruba spiritual system. Each
has told me that it was witchcraft. I pressed on them, where did they
get that idea from. They said the church. And well, who brought the
church, by in large, to the the motherland?
To a greater extent this is another tool for maintaining instability on
yeah yeah.. the white man.. of course... but the question persists: What makes them so easily mislead?.... today?...
Cultural and political naivete is my answer.
What do you suspect?
