    Hello Family,

    This site says the following:

    What man invented the calendar?

Does the whole world use the same basic calendar, as we do?

Who determines when the calendar needs changing, adjusting, etc?

The Egyptians are widely credited with creating the 365 day calendar.

    hi Sistah Destee

Below is a link I think you'll find interesting. It doesn't say who invented the calendar, but it does give a good insight as to how we got to the one we use today

    Sister Destee,
The Julian calendar was adopted under the Roman Republic. It numbers days within months that are no longer in the lunar cycle. So it was not great for tracking the cycles of the moon. But does great with tracking seasons. Each calendar year has 365 days except for the 4th year. Earths tropical year is a lil lesss that 365 days, so it slowly became innacurate with the seasons. It was this reason that the Gregorian calendar was adopted by most westerners.

There is also an Hebrew Calendar which combines the solar and lunar. It has 353,354,355.. days on a non leap year.. leap year has 13 months with 384-385. Every month starts a new moon.

There is no one person who invented is was a slow process that was stmbled upon when one person put it all together..

The sumarians invent cuneform that was monumential in developing a number sysem.. based on the #60, Some believe that they knew the number 6 was perfect. All the factors add up to 6, the year was initially thought to be 360 days, and12 months.. 30 days each. they also divided the sky into 12 signs.. (astrologically) and 260 degrees.. each degree having 60 min.. and and each secong had 60 thirds. The babalonians carved out the month. Defined it.. what it entailed. There were many contributions between point A and B,
the christians of course had to add their bit in....

    Christian Additions:

Sunday (sun) = Dimanche (dies Domini, Lord's day)

    Monday (moon) = Lundi (moon)

Tuesday (Tiw) = Mardi (Mars, god of war)

Wednesday (Woden, Odin) = Mercredi (Mercury, messenger god)

Thursday (Thor) = Jeudi (Jove, Jupiter, top god)

Friday (Frigg, Freya) = Vendredi (Venus, god of love)

Saturday (Saturn, Roman god of agriculture) = Samedi (Sabbath day)

    peace Des,

It was in 10,000 B.C.E (Before the christian era) that OUR ancestors GAVE the WORLD the calendar. THis is 8,000 years BEFORE the STORY of Adam & EVE (which is really the hidden story of the white race). THey were even able to revise it because of their knowledge of astronomical calculations. The solar calendar shows the relationship of the moon and the sun which gives us the basis of the present calendar with 364 days corrected each year instead of 365 days corrected each fourth year (Leap year).

THere was NO EUROPEAN society in EXISTANCE AT THAT TIME. The first European writer named HOMER, was not even born yet!! And even after HOMER was born HE ONLY BECAME LITERATE BECAUSE OF THE TEACHINGS THE AFRICANS GAVE HIM. THis is why HOMER corroborated the evidence of our ancestors had by stating that even the GODS of EUROPE, especially GREECE (called Pyrrhus at that time) came from ETHIOPIA!!

10,000 B.C.E (before the christian era) is also known as "The 3rd Sibillian Period" which is when this calendar came about called "the Stellar Calendar".

The calendar is still in Ethiopia TODAY! It has 12 months of 30 day and 1 month of 5, giving you 13 months.

Let us not be fooled, the European has not gone 1 inch further than our great ancestors of hundreds/millions of years ago. NOT 1 INCH, nor have they introduced anything NEW to us. For instance the ZOdiac which the original could be found in the temple of the goddess Het-Heru, but the Egyptian Zodiac was Rectangular not circular. This circular one we have here was given by the French after the Arabs chased them out of Egypt. WHich in fact means once again, These FRENCH Europeans STOLE it, changed the shape and gave it back to us as if it was something new.

Finally, if there are 13 months in the original calendar there must also be 13 signs of the ZOdiac to align each month with????? but I'll leave that alone for now!

    hope this helps...........
