The Blind Man
Don’t feel sorry for me
I was born into this world without site
I’ve painted a vivid picture in mind that shows
What my world looks like
I see a world with equality and unity
I world with know bloodshed in are community
I didn’t see the plane crashing into the twin towers
Or the president sending troops to war to capture that cowards
I never seen the disparity in that mans eyes
When held up that sign will work for food
Or that child’s face when she asked you to play with her
And you said you where not in the mood
I never seen the news when they showed the war that’s going on in Liberia
Brotha’s in sista’s are fighting that same war here in America
I’ve never seen lives being taken over music
Or what a person with Aids has to go through
So don’t feel sorry for me because I’m blind
My world is beautiful
I feel sorry for you
Don’t feel sorry for me
I was born into this world without site
