    Like eyes
    i surmize
    With evidence
    and common sense
That many hearts lack 20/20 vision
Evidenced in many a faulty love decision
In need of contact lenses or glasses
Hearts turn their owners into *****
    They never even clearly see
While sitting 'neath the loving tree
That by the rules in the lover's book
They're cruising again to be totally took
On a blind ride out into space
On a bonafide super rat's race
As their hearts lead them on and into
The lover's equivalent of an episode of Mr. Magoo
But as hard as you try to aid them
oftimes just gettting out da way is best, this you'll find
Because it's hard and sometimes impossible
to reach a person in love who is following a heart that's nearsighted, myopic or blind

Rasheed the man. Very cool and true. I like this one. Sometimes they just don't hear ya. It's a shame. So much time wasted. We've all been in that position where you have to shut up and step aside and let people make their own decision.

it's like I had tunnel vision
    focusing on only one thing
    til the collision
    couldn't see disaster coming
    but it was my decision
    and thereafter, fronting
    believing I'm living a dream
    a fantasy, loving a king
in retrospect I come to find
it was illusion, truly I'm blind
like Stevie, see ribbons in the sky
    but they don't see me
    maybe I must protect myself
    respect myself, never neglect myself
    for anyone, any reason
    and I mean none
    perhaps after the healing season
then this Moon will find her Sun...

oooo rasheed I am diggin you like a well cuz you way too deep, I ask you humbly to seep some of that nourishment back 2 me, like 360, you flow like ocean's tide, continue on in your mission of scribe, I'll buy a surfboard and catch a ride...One

As the saying goes, love is blind.

Definitely on point with this one, bruh.

I hope that eyes that we use to see love only gets better with age. Because there are many people, in so called loving relationships, walking around blind, unabe to see what "real love" is.

Nice poem. Thanks for helpingto take the blinders off.

    I particularly liked this line:
As their hearts lead them on and into
The lover's equivalent of an episode of Mr. Magoo

But this was awesome from top to bottom, keep up the flow.

    Brother Rasheed....

    Bravo! :spinstar:

I couldn't have said it better! It's that heart,
that get's some of us in trouble...looking (nearsighted, myopic or blind)
    beyond a myriad of faults.

    Feelin your work!

kente417mojo, Thank you and it's oh so true and pitiful sometimes.

Twofish, nice scribing as you are definitely already riding, if you get the surf board------Lord, Lord....Thanks

PositiveMindset, Thankds, it's not the eyes that are blind but the hearts in the breast....

cojamalik, Thanks, age alone won't do it and there is no fool like and old fool they say.......

watzinaname, thanks, i can just see that Mr. Magoo scene too....almost nothing safe from being wrecked or put into a state of havoc......

angelicsage, thanks, yes it's the heart......

    but sometimes it aint easy............................................

queentswana, thanks, yes one can manage the heart if they really want to....
