We all seem to have deep hunger to share our ideas, literature, art and what we believe is truth.
We seem to have an unconscious longing to mentally and spiritually be as one.
This hunger is what fuels these threads. Anybody who brings their contrary P.O.V. amongst any group setting can be compared to throwing lighter fuel in a fire.
I'm fully aware the number of ppl whom share a belief has nothing to do to with whether the belief is true or not. I'm pretty sure most who is reading this is aware as well. But subconsciously is a different story. How many practicing Christians, Muslims or Jews will admit they wouldn't have their same beliefs if they lived in a area where their beliefs weren't practiced by the majority.
