THE BEER FESTIVAL, The Opet Festival & Barley

3 Mandatory Yearly Festivals; Passover, Tabernacle & The Feast of Weeks

    Three times thou
shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.
    [EXODUS 23:14]

And the Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, ...Intreat the
LORD ,,,; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer. And Moses said
unto him, ... I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God. And the flax and
the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was
bolled*. But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not
    grown up. EXODUS 9:27-32.

*the barley and flax crops were destroyed by the previous plagues, but the
Egyptians expected the slaves to harvest their wheat and rye crops of which
had not been destroyed. The stages of these crops mark the time of the
    year to be in September.

During the 18th Dynasty and during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut, a new festival became instituted, the OPET FESTIVAL, during the month of June/July [the Summer Solstice] and this became apart of the system of yearly festivals that marks time well.

After the winter festival in the month of February and the winter crops were harvested and gathered, the Egyptian people prepared for the Spring Equinox. Soon after this time in March/April, people went indoors for the KHAMSIN of which blew sandstorms up to hurricane force winds of about 80 mph and for FIFTY DAYS, ending in the month of May/June. Then the slaves would have to plant another crop. The young pharaoh had a viceroy, Huy [var. Hun or Huni; ‘y’, is a replacement letter] of whom headed up the exploits into the land of Punt and Nubia where they exploited the Black lands for gold and the wealth of Africa. The Opet Festival was marked by the Dog Star, SIRIUS [i.e. Sopdet, Sothis], of which disappeared from and then the triad ancient Theban gods, Amun, Mut & Khons, would be taken out of one temple and floated on the royal barge to the other temple [Karnak & Luxor temple complex] followed by the royal court while crowds of people would stand all up and down the Nile as onlookers in observance. Then the sweltering heat would soon come and the slaves assumed their summer task of making bricks and building pyramids. Like clockwork, from the disappearance of the star Sirius until it appeared again was seventy (70) days, and then came the mighty floods, marking another seasonal time change approaching the month of September and the Fall Equinox. The royal court would have probably left Upper Egypt in the interim and headed northwards to their capitol in Memphis near the head waters and onto their new treasure city in the Delta region in preparation for THE BARLEY FESTIVAL [The Beer Festival]. This festival reaches back thousands of years and was the most important time of the year due to trade for all of the Mediterranean civilizations because the weather was cooler. It was the time when some ancient pharaohs had their Sed Festivals or perhaps their Coronations. This time was so ripe for trade that it became the end of the year for many civilizations. OCTOBERFEST became the end of the year festival [HARVEST-FEST], and November, the scientific ninth month, became the NEW YEAR [‘Nova’ means, ‘New’; November]. All the wealth taken out of Kush (Nubia) would be stored up in one of their buildings in the northern delta region of Egypt [Lower Egypt]. Many trade caravans would have traveled to and from ancient trade posts in Assyria, Babylon, Arabia ... and Egypt around this fall time. Therefore and in accordance with the Dog Star, the floods and the ripening of the barley crop, the New Moon, the Harvest Moon, and etc., it can be understood why the Bible marks the very time that Joseph was sold into Egypt and the very time of the Exodus down to the very same day:

    Now the sojourning
of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty

And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even
the selfsame day it came to pass*, that all the hosts of the LORD went out
from the land of Egypt. --[EXODUS 12:40-1]

This day came ye out in the month Abib. [EXODUS 13:4]

*September 14, 1436 B.C. [ABIB/Tishri; ‘Bib’ means ‘life’; but ‘Abib’ means ‘no
life’, hence ‘Autumn; the Fall of the year; Fall Equinox]

The Egyptians depended upon the enslaved Mene-Thebans in the south of Egypt to carve their obelisk and carve out their tombs and, they depended upon the Hebrew slaves [& the Syrians] in the north of Egypt to build up their pyramids and to harvest their crops, especially their barley crops for the making of their breads and the production of their barley beer, but that year it would not be so.

By the time that Moses belligerently objected to the court life of Egypt, ran off and returned to address the court of Egypt, there was a forty year time gap. Moses was eighty years old when he returned, and Egypt had went through a time of great change during his absence. The court of Egypt had outlawed the Theban religion, forced slaves to build up two new cities and moved their capitol to the new city in a central desert area today renamed as ‘Armarna’, forced the original Mene-Thebans to worship a new god, ‘THE ATEN’ [a serpent god at the base of a sun disc] and then abandoned that religion when the Thebans rebelled, abandoned the desert city completely, reopened the Theban temples and re-instituted the Opet Festival. When Moses and his brother Aaron left the brick pits in Goshen to address the court it was towards the end of summer but, the intense heat still had not broken and many of the Hebrews were still making bricks. The Egyptians had the expectation that their crops would mature within a couple of days for harvesting in order to supply their ovens with grains for their breads and have the grains for their vats for the making of barley beer and etc. But for days the courts were faced with one plague after another while they gave audience to two older Hebrew men concerning their slaves:

    And Pharaoh’s
servants* said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? ...
knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed: [EXODUS 10:7]

    *The Pharaoh’s servants were technically his ‘higher ups’, & Counselors;
    Hittites & Assyrians...

The young pharaoh became just a mouthpiece for ‘the one who actually sat on his throne’, Smenekhkare. But when it was accepted that their crops were utterly ruined then ‘the court servants’ (court officials) blamed the pharaoh. After the Death Plague struck Egypt around midnight, the pharaoh rode from his palace to meet the two Hebrew priest and gave the word of release. A couple of years later, the pharaoh had died mysteriously and then a few years later after his death, a new line of rulers assumed power over Egypt.

Can the plagues be defined as being naturally occurring events? Can they be defined on a scientific basis? Yes. Most of the plagues can be defined as a natural scientific phenomena except for one; the Death Plague. It shouts, Intelligent Design! At any rate, after the Exodus the Creator God instituted three (3) mandatory observances. Interestingly, the very festival that the Israelites were suppressed to support became one of their most important festivals that they would one day enjoy to the fullest; THE FEAST OF BREADS. Like all festivals (festive celebrations), they too would enjoy feasting on the best baked foods that could possibly be prepared, music, love making ,and beer for days.

Based upon the immediate reactions of many Hebrew Israelites right after the Exodus, however, they failed to understand the major significance of what they had just experienced. The very institution of these mandatory observances becomes the revelation that the Israelites became only one part of about a 6000 year plan to correct sin and rebellion. Obviously, the LORD God knew that they were in no wise ready to live in peace at that time and these observances were instituted in order to teach those who wanted to have peace by and by. The government that they had to now learn how to exist within on this earth was different from the Egyptian government that they had just been delivered from. They were to exist under an inherited system with the Priesthood being the highest sector on earth. The government of the Creator God was extracted after about a 400 year period that was MERIT BASED unlike the Egyptian government of which set up based upon a Color Caste System in which WHITE SUPREMACY was the highest sector and human sacrifice of initially, Blacks/Kemeti people [Seth people], in the form of slavery, captivity, rape, mass killings, and etc. was the lowest sector. The Israelites and others became ‘servants of God’ in the Kingdom of the Creator God and their service and reward was based upon talents, skills, acts and deeds; the lowest being bond servitude. Slavery and Human sacrifice in any form is an abomination; It is a human right violation. The foundation of the Kingdom of the Creator God is initially based upon his creation of black wooly headed people and the foundation of the Egyptian government was the suppression thereof. The Egyptians were ‘a ethnic people; a darker kind of people oppressing other dark people for the purpose of white supremacy. The government of the Creator God is MONOTHEISTIC consisting of the kingdom, next the priesthood and then the Creator himself but, the government of Egypt consist of several idols and shrines and in this mode, the supreme worship of white idols was eventually always achieved. Almost immediately after the Hebrew Israelites had left Egypt, many of them literally freaked out! And, many of them exhibited some of the same oppressive behaviors that they had just been delivered from. For this reason thousands upon thousands of them suffered the same fate as did many of the Egyptians. Therefore by understanding the reasons for these mandatory observances, specifically the Feast of Breads, perhaps we can understand how they correlate to the past, present and future. -- Cont. P.
