Black Poetry : the basics interlude

this is kind of prosy

gotta let me know what you want
how this game go
got me wondering 'bout the rules
so tell me
how many years was I s'posed
to waite while you bounced
back and forth between me and your man
I can still see that expression on your face
when I told you I was bound to you for life
and why I was willing to live in my car
for 7 mos or in a hole in the wall motel room
when I could afford to
just how many years was I s'posed to watch
you gloat
how many days week months and years
was I s'posed to keep beggin you back
while you took every opportunity to put me down
how many times was I s'posed to watch you
prove to me how much you hated me
and when you got pregnant
while I was broke and strugglin'
I came to visit you with all my worldly
belongings in my car
I brought you a card and tokens of my devotion
you clowned me and called it stupid ****
exactly what impression was you tryin' to give me
while I'm knowin' each day you go back with my seed
to sleep beside your man
and over the course of two plus years how
long was I s'posed to just smile and say "that's ok"
when in every freakin' conversation you are calling
me by his name
and at the end of all this you told me you didn't
want to talk to me anymore
when I went from homeless to an apt. to a three
bedroom house(though I didn't own it)
when I did this all for you
you said you wanted to work it out with your man
though you didn't love him
I'm sayin'
exactly what was my response s'posed to be
so I said God bless you and I wish you well
guess that makes me an evil bassted huh
guess that's what you want
