So many B words come to mind
that can be used to describe a sister
some of them are complimentary, some are
harsh, but none cause old wounds to blister
If a sister speaks her mind, it's not a stretch to conclude
she's smart, you could say she is brainy or bright.
The sister could be a genius, simply brilliant in fact,
intelligence doesn't rhyme with itch, that ain't right.
Now some women speak without thinking first, but
that's a crime either gender can commit.
Words like bold, brazen, brutal, or brash are also
descriptive, but don't make us feel like we've been hit.
If a Black woman is slow to speak, we can
actually be bashful... yes a black woman can be shy
If she's charming, words like beguiling and bewitching
are easy to say, come on, just give it a try.
Not just singling out some men, for some women
also favor this word, using their tongues to attack.
Instead of this word, let's try to discover some way
in which we're all beautiful and Black....

True, queent, it does take all kinds to make a world. And although it can be difficult to be positive, the rewards are there in the end. Thank you sista.
