:script:In your own personal view, explain what exactly is this American dream? And how it affects the ability of black americans with passions for achieving this dream. How would you:out: describe [define] it today and what is the path to earn it? I am sure that at some point in all our lives we have heard this phrase used, etc. Perhaps back in the day, a high school diploma, college degree, was the true path for achieving what we all preceived to be the American dream! Does the same apply today?:what: Please be clear in your answers! How does this word "Opportunity" play a part in this dream? Can it be that this American dream requires one to earn opportunity? This doesn't mean that you will be able to seize it, why? It takes time perhaps to get a seat at the table, etc. But why not lets get the conversation started. Again,:computer: define the american dream in your personal view, regardless of what it incompasses. Now tell us:console: why you think that black america or most black americans, [have not] really achieved the interworkings of this dream? Where are we :talk: so lacking, etc. SwagII moving on...

The American dream is and always has been a nightmare for the majority of Afrikans in this country! Malcolm X said so years ago, long before 1965 when he was murdered! The accumulation of personal economic and material wealth is unAfrikan, and obviously doesn't bring happiness! The private lives of most black, wealthy entertainers and athletes will attest to that! E.g., Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, Prince, Rick James, Michael Jackson, Donnie Hathaway, Phyllis Hyman etc.! Not to mention a endless list of rappers and celebrities! We need to redefine success and education ourselves, based on our own Afrikan centered worldview! And stop running behind people who are lost on their road to salvation!!! Stop acting like Europeans and we will be fine!!!
