    THE AMAZING OLIVE TREE

    [IMG]

    PICTURE OF A 1000 YEAR OLD OLIVE TREE

    [6] And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:
    [7] And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.
    [8] Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;
    [9] But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.
    [10] And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;
    [11] And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
    [12] And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.
    [13] And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.
    Genesis Chapter 8

    I find this so interesting because, this also places the dove in a certain area where the olive tree is known to thrive.

    The olive tree, Olea europaea, is an evergreen tree or shrub native to the Mediterranean,
    Asia and Africa.

    Some researches believe it was first found to be in Northern Africa. I am amazed at how many products' basic component is from the olive.

    THE WILD OLIVE TREE

    And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree,
    wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of
    the olive tree;…

    For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed
    contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the
    natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree? ROMANS 11:17 & 24.

    What I love about 'the Wild Olive Tree' is how it applies to the Christian Movement
    that came out of the time of the Roman Empire. Most Bible Scholars write and apply this scripture
    correctly, to the Gentiles that came to the light. Paul the Apostle did a lot of work
    and today, we all benefit from this movement whether we admit it or not.

    The root analogy of the olive tree, being wild, is amazing and although it is wild, the fact that it is 'the olive tree', it means that there was good on this earth outside of the realm of 'the original descendants of Adam and Eve'.
