Dear Lord
so much i have to say
so much in my heart to share
when time reveals no meaning
whom can you believe in
feeling like the good Shepherd
that lost one in His flock
I succumb to fear no more
furthermore the story never ends
a life filled with rain and pain
Oh lord why do teardrops drop
like rainfall-drops
whenever my pen stops?
I hope I get to ghetto heaven the same
I have seen beyond yonder
the splendour and wonders
even seen stars shine behind the mountains
maybe one day
universal love will conquer the blemish within them
kind of strange to imagine
days with no nights
roads with no signs
a world with no sky
A soldier born blind to their contradictions
Dear Lord open up the gate
we've got so much to gain
in this world of strife and pain.
