In my world, you're the most magnificent 8th Wonder Reducing any other to an architectural blunder. Even the Great Pyramid of Giza For in you, the world sees a Strong, mature, intelligent Black man Leading by example, saying and doing What he will and what he can.... In Alexandria, stood a guiding Lighthouse But you'd make dim its wayfaring beacon and douse Every flickering flame For with your love, you easily tame My every heart's desire With your hot, searing, roaring, blazing fire! At Ephesus was the Temple of Artemis But you give me pure joy and sheer bliss Just to peer upon your smiling face After a long, hard, day erasing every trace Of strain, strife and stress When w/your love, you abundantly bless Me w/knowing that I am yours and you are mine No more searching. We've both found the end of the line. It's been said that King Nebuchadnezzar Built the Hanging Gardens of Babylon But w/you I bloom and blossom Every day, my heart is full as you lovingly don Me w/sweet-smelling flowers And we frolic and revel In your well-cultivated, aromatic, love-filled bowers. In Olympia, sat the statue of the Almighty Zeus But you'd crumble his kingdom and shake him loose From his exalted throne & seat For you can't be beat When it comes to ruling in love We've been blessed from above And each day, I'm thankful and grateful For such an over-flowing plateful Of sharing and caring And pairing and baring Our minds, bodies, and souls As our inner forces attract like magnetic poles. Once, standing at the harbor Was a tribute to the Sun-God, Helios (And to some, Apollo) For the world-weary, sea-tossed ships to follow But to you, falls short the Colossus of Rhodes For YOU are my Sun and your dizzying love bodes Well as a sign That it's one of a kind! The Mausoleum of Halicarnassus Was a grand house for the dead But, even that royal resting place pales to the wondrous bed You nightly prepare for me As we lay and love Binding and joining like hand to glove. Yes, in my world, you're the most magnificent 8th Wonder. And any other that Man may say, you'd tear it asunder!
