i feel your touch
today as I did before
364 days prior

...

the tears paint the pain
the same

...

vandalizing my
harmony (the doctor said
it would take time)

...

ducking and dodging
sun and stars that swing like
pendulums of stone

...

giving and taking
nights and days
i've never met
such a cruel game

....

i feel your touch everyday
ten little fingers
sketching untold futures
of how you would
be a doctor, maybe a lawyer,
just as long as you were happy

...

it wouldn't have matter

...

the doctor said it would take time
to "accept" (in order to be healed)
me losing you

...

my holy folk said that
God prevented you from a harsh life
that he test our faith all the time
in myriad ways
that he "needed an angel"

...

(but I needed one too)

...

I hold my hands straight to the
sky as if I'm trying to touch the clouds
waiting for you to take hold
maybe even a game of
"patty cake"

(Miss mary mack mack mack all
dressed in black....)

...

my womb still shudders from
the pain

...

during the twelth month.

*I was watching something on TV and they were talking about a woman who lost her child through miscarriage. this is just waht I imagined it may feel like or be to go through this.

Having lost a baby through miscarriage and knowing how emotional and painful the loss is, I was suprised to read your words...words written not just from the pen of someone who has never suffered such a sadness, but also a male....the depth of feeling and understanding you have written and shown in this peace is simply beautiful...thank you

Cindy & Kitana,

I wasn't really sure if I did this topic "justice" or if I should even attempt to write on something I haven't experienced firsthand. If my few words have expressed it even in the most infintessimal way my reason for writing this was accomplished. From your words it seems as if I have at least "scratched the surface." My heart goes out to you both. Your brother blak.
