This is my first poem here. I was kinda nervous about putting one up but you all are really encouraging that I figured why be scared? So here it is

That Night

The cool summer breeze blows across us
My head against your chest
I can feel your heart beating
It’s music to my ears
As you whisper in my ear
Your lips brush my cheek
And I feel it
Your hand travels from the nape of my neck
To the small of my back
Your kiss is ever so soft
I try to fight it
But your whole being consumes me
Makes me forget all prior commitments
There’s nothing but you and I in this moment
Words need not be spoken
I know what you’re thinking without you saying a word
You lace your fingers in between mine
And we just lay there
Stars above us, earth beneath us
Breathing…heavy
Pulse…racing
Bodies…touching
Legs…intertwined
How did I get to this place with you
Just yesterday I couldn’t even remember your name
Now yours is the only one I can’t get out of my head
You’re as bad for me as chocolate is for a diabetic
And I know it
And it only makes me want you more
