Though every day should be a day of being greatful and giving thanks .. Thanksgiving in my family is like having another Family Reunion. Folks all over the place, laughing:lol:, eating:chef:, fussing:fight:, drinking:toast: and looking for a nap later:boring: ...

It used to be immensely important to me considering the family gatherings and good food. However, out of respect for both my Black & Red ancestors; I don't celebrate it anymore. Too much bad history behind it:nono:

    Peace

For now on it will be a day of "GIVING THANKS" to My Ancestors, both African and "Native" which i shall obseve being in Prayer, Meditation and FASTING while others are "feasting".

Many years ago my immediate "family" began having our gathering the weekend before "thanksgiving" and doing their own thing the day of. Now when someone calls and asks what will I be doing I will tell them "Giving Thanks" to Our Ancestors.

    I like Brotha OmoX's plan.

Mine is just to contribute to the Liberation of Our People. In so doing, I will apply Brotha OmoX's idea to mine.

NEVER go wrong when getting our Ancestors involved.

food. used to mean connecting with family, but since mom passed, so did the family it seems.

but to a third grade teacher, it means doing something a bit different.
