Black Poetry : TERROR IN DA HOOD (who has da rites)

word , it's deep / real and scary and the feeling it leaves behind
like a bitter taste that never go away , so many have to deal with
this sorrow and the terror of RAPE.

this terror and the prey on victims in da hoods.
 
it's good to see men taking a stand against rape and in that vein, i appreciated this piece very much. i did find it somewhat hard to follow the rhythm of it, though. i don't know if you wrote it this way as a stylistic device to show the brokenness of the rape victim. if that was the case, forget what i'm saying. if it was done for another reason, i felt that it hindered the message
