Does Terrell Owens bark for more money hurt or help the team chemistry of the Philadelphia Eagles?

It is reported that Terrell is going into the second year of a 7-year 49 million dollar contract with the Eagles. A wide know fact is that the Eagles are not a team or management that will not be pushed around by any player. Why did Terrell throw Donvan Mcnabb under the bus so to speak when he said that, "I am not the one who got tired in the Super Bowl."

He went to the superbowl in his 1st year, if I was TO I'd shut up & be content. At least wait until his 2nd year before he starts mouthing off! He said that McNabb was the reason he wanted to come to Philly, now he is taking shots at him in the media...that is childish to me.

    i wonder about TO.
    he is a drama queen.
everywhere he goes there is a soap opera.
Philly, however, is not a soap opera town.
TO will find that out very soon.

if i got $49M for working six months a year i would shut up and be happy.

i doubt if he will be here next year.

T.O. does have a point that he is not getting the same money as other top receivers. He has proven he is the best in the league so maybe he does deserve a pay increase.

T.O is not in a postion were he can force anyone to give him more money. N.F.L contracts are different then any other sport in that aspect. If you dont play then you dont get paid thats the bottom line.

Because they desire T.O. has to offer that means he is in a position to force them to write up a new contract. The NFL cuts players all the time without honoring the players contract so why is it so wrong for a player to ask for more money if he desrves it case in point Javon Walker wants more money because his current contract only pays about 500 grand a year but he has become one of the better receivers in the league and Bret Favre's go to guy so I think that he is justified in demanding more money-- if he was not playing up to the level that the team wanted him to play they wouldnt have any qualms about cutting him.

I Believe something behind office doors that we do not know about.

I got a feeling that the philly orginization promised TO some sort of contract increase if they went to a superbowl or something to that effect. And what we are saying is the orginization renigging on the promise.

However, at the same time, TO just could be wanting what he is worth...
