    Looking for some ease
Trying to find some temporary shelter
Just take away the pain, please

One glass of wine turns into two
    and two, turns into four
soon that bottle is empty, and you're
too smashed to count any more

    So you drink
    you drink and you drink
    til you just don't stink
you stank of it, body all wet
liquor leaking out of your pores
    in sweat

    And when you sober up
    you remember the pain
    and all those troubles
    still remain

    So you
    Find a pill to pop
    powder to snort
    a toke to cop

    now you're all doped up
    thinking in rainbows
    Talking in psycho delics
    And sinking to insane lows

    That ain't no peace pipe
    but you're searching for peace
so you partake, and as you do
    your inhibitions start to decrease
and what's left, does not become you

    Such high morals
    dredging fathoms below
    Limbo lower now....
    How low can you go?

    Lonely for some company
    Least that's what you claim
    One thing leads to another
Even though you don't know his name

Nor...what time of night the previous guy left
or exactly when the next guy came
You didn't recognize your reflection the other day
Just lowered your head in shame

    Possibilities are high that you're
    getting much more than cooties
    from all those
    unknown booties
And now that the ecstasy has ended
The problems you sought shelter from
    aren't gone, just merely suspended

Easier to hide under a shabby roof
of addiction, than to actually weather the storm
But when that roof caves in, and it will
Temporary shelter can no longer keep you warm

It's high time to build a more permanent abode
The construction won't be painless nor will it be quick
But you are capable of laying that foundation
    brick...by...brick

Gotta get it right though, before the building comes tumbling down, and no one wants to be amongst that rubble. Thank you Rich for taking the time to respond so.

This is great. You dropped this flow Watz.

    This flow is well written.
The fix definitely is in the bricks used for the fix.
It is manifest that what is created is a Temporary Shelter.
You tapped onto the elements clearly of how it can be. Great work.

"One glass of wine turns into two

I loved the way you broke this WAY, WAY, WAY, DOWN!

Let's keep it real here, Trying to look for a shleter only to hit the low.

But to rebuild yaself up again is achievable.

Man, you dayum straight when you said,

    "Possibilities are high that you're
    getting much more than cooties
    from all those
    unknown booties
And now that the ecstasy has ended
The problems you sought shelter from

FLEX THOSE POETRY MUSCLES, watzinaname. You on top, BIG PROPS, BIG PROPS.

I was really inspired by this piece because it almost like you went through the thoughts our ones mind of possible options to choose from, which everyone has these moments from time to time. And somehow the hole gets deeper and deeper. Man, make it plain.

Awesome scribe on poetess, scribe on!

    To "Never tamper with Perfection"
I adore this piece so much, I felt the need to flow with it,
    but ...
everywhere I wanted to go with it ...
    you took it.
    Excellent piece poet...^5

Yes So'ja, if what's really broken doesn't get fixed, the problem remains. Yeah, I'm holding it down here, lol. Thank you.
The foundation can't be laid with the wrong bricks, quite true, Hodee. Thank you ever so much brotha, and it's great to "see" you on the boards again.
Sometimes we dig a deeper hole, and don't even realize it, Storm. Yes, it is certainly possible to lift oneself back up. You humble me, and by the way, I love your work, thank you.
Perfection? Gee, that is so kind of you to say queent. However, a poetess like you, can always bring something fresh to the mix. Thanks a million.
