I envied Maleeka when Caleb wrote her that song
I thought “that should be me”
And I envied Lainey when Mr. Blue eyes came and went
She was the girl with everything
I needed fate to hold my hand so I could fall in love
    Nothing could be sweeter
They kept sending me lies, try after try after try
So, yes, I’d kill to be her.
I didn’t have that confidence he gave to me
I’m still not over the leave
It’s a waste of time wondering what’s wrong or right
All I ask is for a little air to breath.
Years can pass and you can fill my glass
Until the blood flows over the rim
My thoughts grow grim as the stars slowly dim
My chances become more and more slim

I will cry to every heart’s content
