What is your temper level like? Are you even tempered? Does it take a lot to upset you? Are you easily upset (go from 0 to 60 in 1 second)? how long does it take for you to get over what was done to you, or maybe something hurtful someone has said to you?

I have an intense temper but most folks don't realize it until it's too late because I appear to be calm. But what I'm really doing is waiting until the appropriate time to stab you or punch you in the mouth. Literally....

    Smooches!

When I was younger I had a beast of a temper. It was so bad my parents tried to get rid of me and put me in another state in some school in the desert of Utah...but they kicked me out the same day I got there.
Now it takes longer to get me upset, but I can control my temper...and it's still there. But I don't let it out not only for my sake, but for those around me...
I've had blackout moments...I've put people in the hospital, I've destroyed places, and gotten locked up.
I was court-ordered to go to anger management for 3 years.
Back then I go to 60 in less than a second...and it would take me a good while to come back from that moment.
I think the fact that I know how far I can go, and what I'm capable of doing, the consequences keeps me in check.
The last time I let go, my daughter saw and she was 5...that was it for me.

Life is too short to linger in anger. I choose to meditate and center myself. So far it's worked ,along with maturity. Anger destroys the one whose angry.
Living life can give new perspectives on how you choose to continue your life's journey.

I can get upset very easy but don't often, and either way, it doesn't really manifest into anything except I'm just a bit upset. And no matter how quickly it came, it goes away fast when I just get my head together and recognize there's no point in sitting angry for so long.

I wasn't always this way; my temper used to be pretty bad when I was younger, and I'd get very condescending in my words, when people made me mad, just to hurt their feelings. I've since recognized how painful and wrong that is, and no more try to hurt anyone.
