I thank God that I met you, and for every day that you're here.

Without you my life had been a blur, but now it's crystal clear.

You were all I needed to help me find the man within the boy.

And now that you're with me I cry tears of joy.

I never knew how much I was hurting until you relieved the pain.

Opening the door of your heart to provide me shelter from the rain.

You offered me your body, and in exchange you took my sorrows to destroy.

And when we made love I cried tears of joy.

It feels so good to be happy, I couldn't think of a better thing.

Then to bow my head in prayer, and on one knee give you this ring.

To thank you for giving me all of you, even when times I did annoy.

You said, "Yes" and now I cry tears of joy.

Still we're happy years later, and the last nine months make it seem even longer.

But as we prepare to bring life into the world our love has gotten even stronger

You gave the final push, and they yelled, "IT'S A BOY!"

Thank you my love for making me cry nothing but tears of joy.

And We Lived Happily Ever After, Amen.

Beautiful and heartfelt poem. Whether it actually what took place in your own personal or not, it is definitely a poetic work that many can relate to. Thanks for sharing. :)
