I need to put my daughter in martial arts program..she's told me she's wanted to, but I think she thinks she's going to learn how to be the Avatar the Last Air Bender or something LOL

But I don't know if she has it in her to fight back or let alone win a fight, cause she's 100% girlie girl, however she does have this stuck up and bossy air about her which I know might piss people off later on....But overall I just hope she doesn't get into one at all if she can help it.

All the more reason to put her in one, IMO.

1. She's interested in it for herself.

2. Because she is so "girlie-girl" knowing how to defend herself from others who will take her "prissiness" for weakness is vital. ---We all know a "BULLY" will pick out whomever he or she feels is a weaker opponent, viewed as "prey" for the "kill." --- So, IMO, it's important that you teach her that, in spite of all her "DIVA-NESS," she better be prepared to "get down and dirty" if somebody puts their hands on her.

Yeah...plus it will give her some confidence as well...It'll be something to consider for summer activities.

Walk away but if the person attacks, self defense is a must.
What martial arts does she practice? I'd recommend Judo or BJJ. These are very effective martial arts and it teaches how to actually submit somebody without necessarily harming them. Judo is more for men though while BJJ is ideal for the weaker sex and people generally physically not very strong. I've seen a woman flying arm bar a huge guy and made him cry like a baby while he tapped.

For a girl I wouldn't recommend boxing, karate and the likes. Wrestling is also good.
