    Peace and Blessings Family,

Teachers are now being trained and provided guns to use, along with deadly attack circumvention, in the classroom ... on the job?!

I remember discussions regarding teachers being poorly compensated, and that was prior to these new life threatening job duties!

    Has their pay increased?

How can this great responsibility be put on a teacher, already overwhelmed with more students in a classroom than is reasonable or conducive to learning?

What of the krazee teachers ... accusations of sexual assault ... not in their right minds?

School brings in high-powered assault weapons

Colorado bill would allow teachers to carry guns in schools

Texas school district to train teachers carry guns

Would you feel better about your child's education and safety under these conditions?

Are you a teacher? Do you mind taking on these additional duties?

Is this really the way to go?

    Looking forward to the discussion.

    Thanks in advance.

Why not just add on-site security...??
The high schools here have always had police officers as security along with para-campus security...they could do the same for the middle and elementary schools.
Teachers can be live wires as well...
Wasn't there a teacher last year who was found having guns and explosives or something?

To be completely honest, it really bothers me that everywhere I go there are cameras--I walked into McDonalds near my house and there are EIGHT in the front room alone, probably more in back. So many cameras everywhere, recording what we say on and off the bus, at restaurants, on street corners, what we are doing everywhere. Is watching people more really the answer? In the history of humanity, we've gone through most of it unwatched.

It has it's pros and cons...But cameras have also served as a witness when there were no other physical bodies around...
They have caught, thefts, murders, rapes, etc.
I understand that you feel it is violating whatever "privacy" you have, but what if one day you were walking down the street, you got attacked and there was nobody to witness the crime, but there was a camera aimed in your direction which caught it...
Bet you wouldn't be so bothered by it then if it proved your case in court and sentence the perp to jail.

I'm sure it is always terrifying in all cases of being jumped and having potentially the worst happening. It's uncomfortable that the only solution is solid recordings of everyone's whereabouts, just in case.

With that being said...Security cameras do not bother me...as long as the purpose is to deter crimes from happening and keeping an eye on possible crimes...I'm not doing anything wrong, so I have no worries.
If they do catch me...then convict me.
Otherwise I'm gonna go about my business.
But as long as you keep having people shoot up schools, business, churches, and acting a fool...yes have security cameras to catch the crazy people in action.

It's uncomfortable? What other solution do you have if something like that was to occur and no one was around to witness it?

If you're concerned with cameras, then you definitely shouldn't be on the internet if you are concerned with privacy and what not.
