under the sun
While sitting at her grandmas feet the girl asked,
"Grandma, can you teach me about life."
"That depends child, on what you wanna know."
and the girl replied....
"I wanna know everything, so will you teach me?"
and her Grandma replied....
"Well child, I'll do the best I can, and you have to understand,
that I can only teach what I know."

"So are you ready baby girl, cause this what I know."

Eggplants don't grow eggs
steamrollers don't roll steam
and
your first kiss will always be your sweetest

home-made presents are the best kind
angels live on earth and in heaven
and
it's just as important to love as it is to be loved

being a beautiful person has nothing to do with
how pretty or handsome you are
and
one day your heart will break
but don't worry cause it has the power to heal itself

there's nothing prettier than sunlight on water,
rainbows and snow falling
and
nothing cuter than baby animals and little people laughing

you can wish upon a star and dream dreams
a best friend is worth keeping
and
true love does exist

a smile is the best way to brighten someones day
it's okay to cry at sad movies
and
to dance in the rain

you get back what you give
you give more than you take
and
you love with all your heart

you gotta take time to
smell flowers and look at the ocean
eat junkfood and taste chocolate
and
at least once you have to lay in the grass and gaze at the sky

you have to remember to be the best you can be
to walk in someone elses shoes for awhile before you judge them
and
to let some things pass you by

but the most important thing in life
is
to be true to yourself

and know that I love you
no matter who you are
or
what you do

and the girl pulled herself to her feet
and wrapped her arms around her Grandmas neck
and said..
"You know Grandma, I knew you knew a lot of things,
but I didn't know that you knew everything."

and her Grandma just hugged her tighter and smiled.
