Tea Party federation expels group over racial writing
Tea Party Express refuses to rebuke spokesman Mark Williams

WASHINGTON — The Tea Party political movement saw a major split over the weekend, with the National Tea Party Federation expelling a member group after its spokesman wrote an online post satirizing a fictional letter from what he called "Colored People" to President Abraham Lincoln.

On its website, the federation stated it had given the Tea Party Express, through direct contact with one of its leaders, a deadline to rebuke and remove spokesman Mark Williams.

"That leader's response was clear: they have no intention of taking the action we required for their group to continue as a member of the National Tea Party Federation," the federation stated.

Therefore, effective immediately the National Tea Party Federation is expelling Tea Party Express from the ranks of our membership."

Federation spokesman David Webb, interviewed Sunday on CBS' "Face the Nation," called the blog post "clearly offensive."

Williams, who said his letter was satirical, started it like this: "Dear Mr. Lincoln, We Coloreds have taken a vote and decided that we don't cotton to that whole emancipation thing. Freedom means having to work for real, think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards. That is just far too much to ask of us Colored People and we demand that it stop!"

"Bailouts are just big money welfare and isn't that what we want all Coloreds to strive for?" he added. "What kind of racist would want to end big money welfare? What they need to do is start handing the bail outs directly to us Coloreds!"

A conservative talk radio host, Williams later removed the post as criticism grew.

Williams' post was a reply to a resolution by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) earlier this month that called on Tea Party leaders to "repudiate the racist element and activities" within the political movement.

Immediately after the resolution, Williams said it was unfortunate that the NAACP had chosen to "profiteer off race-baiting and fear mongering" when it could be doing so much to help the black community.

He also questioned the motives of African-American leaders, suggesting they were taking advantage of the publicity the resolution generated.

"I'm not surprised they are jumping into the fray here because the NAACP just tapped a Gulf oil well full of cash contributions that will arrive from this resolution," Williams said. "And I know Al (Sharpton) and Jesse (Jackson, Jr.) want their piece of it. The slave traders of the 16th century should have been as good at exploiting Africans as these people are, because it's just disgusting."

On its website, the Tea Party Express does not say how many supporters it has, but on Facebook it has 600 followers.

The federation says 61 groups are members, and that it has "affiliate relationships" with 21 other groups.

These are chess pieces being moved about. What strategy have blacks to counter this?

Will the people be played again, and yet again by this political maneuvering? This postulationg?

Can you see the Board for all of it's pieces and players? Do you recognize this strategy and have you a counter "attack?"

I wish that I was a competent chess player.

The NAACP's strategy is a great start, which produced some quick results. The moral is,smack thee hillbillies in the mouth and they'll turn tail and run just like the cowards they are.

We all need to take the time to write letters to editors and televisions. Moreover, we definitely need to call into talk shows, especially the right wing ones to give differing opinions. Remaining silent is our problem

Expelling people for making racial comments is nice but what is their whole platform about? They will spend from now to 2012 trying to prove they are not racists and that is cool.Maybe they aren't racists. Maybe they are equal opportunity @$$holes. What's impo0rtant are the policies they stand for. Everything else is a golden apple.

    What is this really about?

Do all whie folks love idiots?
Was their outrage over Nixon and Bush jr enough to determine that,

    maybe they dont

and most Tea Party crowd telling Palin to take a walk and not pimp their movement?

But how many white folks voted for Obama to be president of an obviously and by all statistics and evidence,
    a racist nation?

Do we think all those white folks wre not racist that voted for Obama?

So why dd they vote for a Black man, in a mostly white nation?

An act of kidness? feelings of guilt?
    affirmative action?

Or maybe he promised them the one thing they wanted more then anything else and that McCain refused to promise them

To side with the public against Wall street

knuckas like that fool that make those kinds of statements in the internet, Blackberry Ipod age

knowing full well that it will get everyone attenton in the world,

seem to be a clever distraction,
as Malcolm said throwing the ball one way while doing the old shake and fake to deceive the public of other mess they are up to

"And you say forgive them lord they know not what they do,
why , they are experts at it"
    El Hajj Malik Shabazz(PBUH)

We will stay distracted every time they let a nut out of his padded room and we spend time chaseing him with a straight jacket

Look, they have known about these individual people and groups since the founding of this socalled independent movement. Now that the NAACP and others are getting in on the picture, they are feeling the heat. The real fact is that these groups refused to disown this clown. Moreover, until the clown felt the heat himself, he didnt see any reason what he said and wrote is/was wrong!

This movement is showing it's true colors in spades. ( forgive the pun ) The rock they spawned from has been turned over to sunlight. It needs to be exposed for nothing less than a hate group. John Birchers and Tea partyers should be mentioned in the same breadth.

The strategy is simple. A mass writing and call in campaign is the best way

    Brotha Ankhur,

It is very clear that you do not like Obama. I know you are not suggesting that we vote for Pallin or Geb Bush. So what is your game plan if it's not Obama? Are you one of those who say we should not vote at all.? Be silent and without a voice under a system that still controls us? Our vote may not be what puts a man in the Oval Office but it does put him and others on alert that we will not suffer in silence. King said a riot is the voice of the unheard. Is your game plan a viable alternative to rioting?
