    Black skin so pure
I wouldn't dare lose my value
    Ruin my skin?
    I wouldn"t dare with a tattoo
You wouldn’t put a bumper sticker
    On a luxury car
So why would I give my skin
    An inked out scar?
But the artist in me screams
    “See the beauty!”
So I submitted to the needle
I let it do its duty
    Words of meaning
    It wasn’t demeaning
    Symbols of love
    Condemnation was weaning
    But many disapprove
They’re still stuck in the past
    Throwing stones
Where the law does not last
    A lack of class
    A ****** pass
    Their judgments are quick
    Always fast
    On men
    Often excused
    On women
    It’s abused
    Depreciation in value
    With ugly tattoos
    But often they are wrong
    They miss the aesthetic worth
    A beautiful tattoo
    Could bring new birth
    An old scar becomes
    A beautiful flower
    After taking the needle
    In an artistic hour
    Something so plain
    Can pick up color
    Once you let the ink
    Give it a cover
It’s time to change the way
    We think about ink
    A thoughtful image
Can bring beauty to its brink
    So, now, under the premise
I think it’s wise to say
    That I’m inked out
And proud to be that way
A Bentley with a bumper sticker?
I’m worth more than a car
    I value my marks
    I value each scar
    Now more colorful
    I love my brown skin
    Inked and all
It doesn’t destroy the beauty within

And one verse before at verse 27 it says: "Nor shall you cut your hair roundwise: nor shave your beard. "
But Judging from your profile pic, I can see that that must not apply to you.

    or..

as my Grandmother used to sing, "sweep around your own front door, before you try to sweep around mine."
