    Small tattered rugs woven
    With traces of life tied into
    A shape of balanced dreams
    Holding strong to the edges;

    Multicolored aspirations with
    Mirror like reflections of past
    And present woven together in
    A pattern of constant resurgence

    The edges, all frilly with tassels
    Of ragged hopes and dreams tied
    With knots of broken hearts unable
    To release the pain without cutting;

    Turn it over to see the truth as the
    Dust clears from the collection of
    Tainted wishes and hidden agendas
    Discovered when the dust fully clears

    Study the trend of folds and cracks from
    Wear and see the perfectly neat area of
    Floor restored to it original design by the
    Constant cover of woven tightly life strands

    Many have walked over its design leaving
    Imprints of pain, footprints of sorrow and
    Tear drenched stains on the lines that make
    Up the simplicity of the delicate material;

    The newness of yesterday has now been
    Worn by constant revisits of brooms that
    Sweep away the past brush away the burden
    As it attempts to replenish the rugs beauty;

    But years of common use have taken it toll
    Small traces of mud still holding strong to
    The tassels now falling apart, no longer frilly
    But just laying flat and listless from wear;

    Small tattered rugs woven with traces of life tied
    into a shape of balanced dreams has lost its hold
    on the edges of life now rolled up in the corner
    awaiting to be sent away to a place of rest forever;

    relating to the sentiment...

    worn out from abuse and misuse and the everyday vestiges of life.

    MIND IF I SIT IN THE CORNER WITH YOU, D.

    we can wait for the dump truck...together.

    So nicely written

    I love this poem Dnommo...
    Tapestry of life.......but it is not the peices that you add to the this beautiful tapestry that holds it together, but the yarn of positive motivation and will, our time is but a drop in the bucket, compare to an ocean of experience, be of good thoughts Dnommo...there is a light at the end of every tunnel, sometimes it takes a while to find it, but its there anointing you with hope.

    epiphany and lister,

    i thank you for the read but there is so much more here than what is woven on your mental...

    in other words, just a little tired but always strengthened by the vision....
