In the meadow of my heart
Grass went untended
It grew tall and thick
I could not see the sun
I moved through the meadow slowly
Painfully
Laboriously
I could not get through
But then
As if on cue
A self-propelled mower began the cutting process
Fuled by friendship
Compassion and understanding
The grass was cut
Devine guidance cut it clean
Cut it smooth
There is now a path I can follow
I can walk freely again
In the meadow of my heart
